Description Here is another Leading Ladies series entry that I just had to do. This is one of my favorites!!
It's a throwback to my childhood back in 1975-77 when the The Secrets of Isis came on every Saturday morning. With WB releasing a Shazam movie later on (DC's Captain Marvle) with Dwayne Johnson playing Black Adam, I think it would be pretty cool if these lovely super-heroine aided Shazam in his fight on the big screen!!

The TV series starred Joanna Cameron as the archaeologist Andrea Thomas who discovered a rare amulet, the Isiac a amulet, on a archaeological dig in Egypt. By speaking the words, "O Mighty Isis" she was transformed in the super-heroine/goddess to fight crime.

Isis displays a vast amount of superpowers, usually invoked through incanting a rhyming couplet. For example, Isis can take flight by reciting "Oh zephyr winds which blow on high / Lift me now so I can fly." Among her many powers, she exhibits superhuman strength, command of the elements (earth, air, fire, and water), and control of the weather. She can control the molecular density of her body and other matter, passing herself through walls, and in one instance, causing a car to pass unharmed through a road grader. She can divine the recent past, which is manifested for the viewer in the jewel of her diadem. Isis can cause living things, including trees and animals, to appear and disappear at will. She can increase local gravity, and stop and reverse the flow of time.

It only lasted two years on tv and in 2007, the complete season was released on dvd. It is still one of my favorite shows and Joanna was a knock-out beauty!! Still not bad today.

I believe Serinda Swan would really portray Isis perfectly with her own exotic beauty. She has many movies under belt such as Recoil, The Bayton Outlaws, Percy Jackson & the Olympian: Lightning Thief, some scary film, and sci-fi like Tron:Legacy. Plus an upcoming film called Jinn.
She's done tv shows like the Breakout Kings and most notably starred in two episodes on Smallville as the lovely magician, Zatanna Zatara!!
I'll admit, there is something about her eyes that are alluring and mesmerizing (Probably helped her get the Zatanna part), but she is very beautiful like Joanna and appears to have that quality to bring a heroine to the big screen just like she did for Smallville. WB would do well to bring Isis to the big screen along with Shazam and Black Adam.

I claim no ownership to these images. For entertainment purposes only. Found these images during an internet search.

Secrets of Isis was produced by Filmation Studios and the character of Isis is owned by DC comics and WB.
Not sure who published this photo of Serinda.

Hmmm...not so sure about this one. Serinda Swan is a pretty woman, and I'm sure she could play the part, however, it makes me wonder if a darker-skinned woman might be better. Nice job with this, just putting in my 2 cents.

Your "2 cents" is always encouraged!! I kinda wondered if Joanna Cameron had a nice tanned complexion already or she got some of that with all the outdoor shots?Β
I never really saw Serinda as Zatanna in the Smallville show, but after looking at the pics, thought she could be good, but since Isis was kind of a Egyptian goddess, would she be darker-skinned like an Egyptian or not? Who knows.
Thanks for checking this out. I know I did

Doesn't look like the same woman. The pic on the left is sexier.

It's not the same woman. He's doing a comparison shot of Isis from the older TV series, and an actress that he thinks could play the part if it is given in the new Shazam sequal that Black Adam is supposed to be in.
