Description
Beat is one of the main characters from the square-enix game "The World Ends With You". He is a very lovable character in the game and I just love his design.Overall I love the art style used in this game and the game in general is one of my favorites of all time. I really hope a second game is made.
Anyways, I've kind of taken a liking to this style for art work so it's one that I'll be working with a lot.

I use photoshop so I just draw with a transparent background. I'm not sure with gimp if you can or not.

Oh XD Sorry my bad. I'm glad you figured it out. Just so you know there are 2 formats that I can think of. .gif is a low quality and allows for animations along with transparent backgrounds. .png is a much higher quality and is better to save everything as regardless of transparency.

You did great at drawing in the original style, at first I though this was the exact art taken from the game ^^ But you might want to work on his face, it is kinda crooked~~

Yeah I'm not very good with line art, but that's something I'm going to start working on. I'm in the middle of trying to draw something myself free hand first then I'm going to line art it digitally and see if I comes out good or not. I'm rather nerves about it.

I've wanted to play The World Ends With You (saw some gameplay vids and fell in love with the characters)-- but, eaurgh, I've been broke for a while but from what I remember, this was really well done!

Trust me I know what it's like to be broke. I had to sell my copy of the game just to have enough to pay rent.
