That boy isn't something you can call a "good companion". He's literally your Everyday Delinquent, so be careful around him.
With a short temper and a sharp tongue, he is quick to pick fights, even if that isn't his intention at the moment. And he never runs away from a fight, unless if he judges the situation to be time-wasting. A bit impatient and self-centered, ANYTHING can be a reason for him to become aggressive.
He's also very blunt and generally rude, what makes him a not-so-very sociable person. But if you manage to crack his hard shell and reach his soft interior, he'll be you dog-person: extremely devoted, protective, and even slightly possessive.

»Biography«
Abandoned at age 7 by his abusive parents at the streets, Mitsuru grew up mainly by himself, without the help of anyone. He'd steal, fight, and do any kind of creepy job just to ensure his survival. Conditioned by his struggle to survive and the feeling of being rejected by his parents, Mitsuru put aside his own self-control and became a literal beast.
The boy was eventually taken in by a street gang, which saw his potential to fight and steal; and raised him as their "little brother". The leader, took a instant liking to him, and he saw the leader as a real brother of his, the only "family" he had.
At age 10, on an failed attempt of robbery to a mini-market, almost all of the gang was caught, including Mitsuru. Seeing that the boy was still young, the police sent him to a rehabilitation center, where he could forget about his life in the gang and start a new one finally inserted in the society in a positive way. The boy resisted at first, but calmed down gradually, accepting the therapy.
When finally ready to leave rehabilitation, he was adopted by a College teacher, who was willing to help the boy to catch up with all the years he lost outside a school. The man homeschooled the boy for a few years, until he decided he was ready to attend a REAL SCHOOL. Searching around for a place that could accept Mitsuru regardless of the things he did in the past, what would be difficult, he came across Jail School; the only place who would accept someone like him.
