i have heard that its based on an actual count, Count Dracula, from Transylvania, a region of Romania. and, idk, i am 1/4 Romanian and when the sun rises in the morning, i feel like crawling inside of a box XD

I heard dracula was based on Vlad the Impaler. A guy who was betrayed by his king and then went to war against him. Vlad did quite a bit of damage and would impale 100s of people outside hiis castle on spikes alive and let them die slowly. So his castle was surrounded by blood and kinda became the legend of the first living vampire. Before that vampire legends happened because of plaigue victims. When they burried the dead with veils over their face and then burry them. When dug back up some boddies would be bloated and the veil would have rotted away around the mouth area. This was caused by decomposition and bacteria but they didnt know that. They thought the body had come back to life and was feeding on the dead, so villagers would pour holy water on them and jam a rock into their mouth so they could no longer feed. Crazy right?

haha and some say times have worsened. how would you like to have lived through that time? crazy for sure. ancient doctors use to drill holes in patient's heads to let blood out as it was thought too much blood had built up causing certain symptoms. and the poor patients had no insurance to cover the whopping bill, either XD

No thank you. The smell, death and rampant desease is enough for me to say no. Plus my attitude would have had me burned as a witch or something. I refuse to gmve told what to do. Lol.

unfortunately we have not lost the mob mentality that caused innocent people to be burned at the stake. one day history will reveal that we are still languishing in the Dark Ages, and it is becoming MORE dangerous to voice one's opinion
