It probably didn't hustle too much but maybe
bustled a bit! Hahaa only gas station in this
tiny blink in the road. I don't think there was
school in this community, but there was
a country store (of which I have photos)
a café, and this filling station......
I love old towns and building, I grew up
in a very small town that in the late 40's
and early 50's mimicked The Last Picture

Excellent shot. This reminds me of an old motel here in town. It was empty and falling down and very creepy.

Thank you Jon! In my hometown was an old abandoned Hotel that held lots of creepy stories! We kids would climb up the back stairs and dare each other to go in! Haa! Eventually they restored it and made a museum out of it! I think I have a picture post d on DA! It looks much better after the face-lift, but it was more fun during the creepy days!

I worked as security for a metal recycling place out back and had to stay outside during the night so I broke a window and got in the old motel. There were some of the creepiest noises and other things going on in there so I never went back in after the first night. I stayed out in the cold.

The place has been torn down so I can't imagine where any displaced ghosts ended up but People still tell stories about the place.

Absolutely. I used to go exploring in some of the many old abandoned places in New York when I was up there caring for my Mom but stopped because I almost got arrested when a cop saw me taking pics of an overgrown fence on some property that wasn't as abandoned as I'd thought.

thats something to hang on to...i like when i'm going thru an old attic or cellar and come along old magazines and or news papers i will look for any old advertisements just to check out the prices of cars houses food movie tickets etc etc

My MIL brought me a box of extremely old magazines, she got in an Estate sale. Some were in the 1930's!
She knows I like old things, and I had blast looking through them!
