i think my inspiration was definetely the oscars or that's what i was thinking about when i designed it,definetely a red carpet dress
strapless chiffon mermaid gown with asymmetrically architectural bodice

Proportion help: Normal humans are 7 1/2 heads tall. Fashion templates are supposed to be around 9 I think. We've been working on proportions in my art class and it was just a tidbit my teacher threw out.
I love the dress. It's difficult to do mermaid and have it be classy and fresh. Going with the a-symmetrical bodice definitely helped in that. There is one strappy looking thing that goes at odds with the rest of the bodice angles that throws my eye off. Was this intentional?

i have to say yes,it was kinda intentional just to go outside the normal asymmetry and give it more of an architectural look, do you think it was a wrong move? and thank you so much for the proportion details i will try to apply them in my next work

I'm not sure whether it really works or not. I would have to see sketches (at the least) of other iterations of maybe more or less at odds angles. It's quite possible that it COULD work and I'm just not quite looking at it right. Overall, it's a GREAT design and you should be very proud of it =^_^=

I really like the look of this, it's pretty stylish. However, the elongated person thing is a little distracting.
