I don't know why, why did they pair Mimi with Joe and Izzy all the time? They're totally different types XD;;; I think these 2 made a more logical pair- they both loved music, Mimi got along with TK so it gave Matt and excuse to be around her... they're both kinda more into "looking cool"

I also think that since Yamato came from a broken house (by that I mean, his divorced parents). He must really miss the comfort from a real family right? he did live with only his father and rarely seen his mother.So I think he made a perfect couple with Mimi, who came from a loving family. Her father and mother are always like a newly wedded couple 
And I really don't understand Sorato, since they (Yamato and Sora) both have almost the same issue.. Also, in adventure 1,Taichi was always there for her, rather than Yamato was. If I were Sora, I would choose Taichi over Yamato.
It also sadden me that, as a bearer of the friendship crest, Yamato kind of stole Sora from Taichi (his best friend). It doesn't make any sense.
But I have nothing against Sorato fans, it's just that I don't get it.

It's the first time I've really drawn a finished piece of them together, so I'm glad they didn't turn out... weird...
And I think Mimi looks cute with all of them, especially Joe, but with Matt there was totally more... chemistry? It felt like if they were real people, they would be the most compatible.

Ikr!?! Or Tai, for that matter! Tai and Sora, Matt and Mimi, T.K. and Kari, they just made more sense together.
Oh, guess what I found out, they polled to see who Matt would marry, and apparently Sora won. If they went with the personalities of the characters, Mimi would have won by a landslide. The differences and similarities between Matt and Mini are more noticeable than between Matt and Sora. Just saying that if they actually based the relationship based on the complete personalities of the characters than just their crests (which was only one aspect of them), Matt would have been with Mimi. That's the major argument I've heard for Sorato, "Love and Friendship belong together!" Yeah, but, all the rest are just as important to those two crests!!! As Matt pointed out in the last episode, he got his crest's power from the friendships between everyone. It may have been his strongest quality, but that didn't mean that no one else could forge a strong friendship!

Sora really should've been with Tai. Besides TK and Kari they were the most cannon couple. Half of my reasons for hating Sora are because of her breaking Tai's sweet, sweet heart. Damn her!!!

Oh, really? Huh . . . then why don't they seem to work for me? I always prefer canon first before anything else. Sometimes I'll change my mind and go with crossover ships, but not always. Maybe there's not enough chemistry between them? I don't know, I've just always preferred Yamato with Mimi and Tai with Sora.Β

Because he didn't tell that many people, that's why so many people wanted Tai and Sora to end up together. Look, the real main reason why so many people wanted them together, was because he was the main guy character and she was the main girl character, and people usually expect the main guy and the main girl to end up together, so that's what they want. Not even the voice actors and actresses knew about it. And when it was dubbed to English, the person in charge of the dubbing, I think his name was Jeff Nimoy, he didn't know either. He also thought that Sora was gonna end up with Tai, that's why he build that relationship up. So yeah, Hiroyuki didn't tell that many people, so only a few people knew.

Ah, that makes sense now . . . though if he had at least told a few more people, they could have dropped a few hints here and there, nothing too big. Though, technically, both Tai and Matt were the main guys, with Sora being the main girl (even though all eight were the main characters? 
lol . . . that's the reason why a lot of people wanted them together, but not me, all eight Digidestined were main characters. I was only thinking in terms of character development. In terms of their personalities, who works better together? That's how I tend to approach ships.Β
Though, if you watched the series without the voices, and just watched their actions, what would the actions tell you? I'm curious now to see what the actions say. Don't think I'll be watching it anytime soon, though, got too much else to take care.

That's true, but I guess Sora and Tai were the lead main characters. And apparently he he didn't want Sora to end up with Tai, because he didn't want it to be a cliche.

Yeah, that's true too, and I can totally see where he's coming from about the cliche part, I'd do the same if I had a group like that. But, I think I'd go about it differently, make it a little more obvious that those two characters are meant to be together, not just in story-line, but also in personality. He did it for Ken and Yolei (and I really, really wish T.K. and Kari did end up with each other in the end! They were blatantly obvious!), but I guess that comes from having learned what to do and what not to do with Sorato.
Have you seen the new season? It really doesn't help much. But it's a different writer, isn't it?Β
