Omen Anatomy 101
Long ago, there was a little girl who was locked away because she wasn’t like the other little girls. This girl preferred to be with animals rather than people and it seemed the animal’s preferred to be with the little girl too. This behavior was seen as something demonic. A girl who lived in the woods? What kind of parents would let their child do this? Now, at the time, the parents were part of a rich family, and had intended to keep it as such. “We cannot control our girl anymore, it is not our fault!” They cried. “Why?” the town would ask. “She is a witch!” And with that, the girl was sent away.
Now, back then a witch was not something you wanted to be, a witch was someone to be killed, burned alive at the stake. But this girl was so young; it would have been too cruel! So instead, they locked her away and choose to keep her there until her tenth birthday. On that day she would be slain.
Every day the little girl would sit and whisper “I want to go home”. She continued this for years, up until the very night before her burning. That night, the little girl was silent; she had not said a word all day. As she looked into the shadows of her cell, a voice echoed to her. “My child, do you wish to come home?”
The girl wasn’t scared by this voice, she simply nodded. After that, an Omen appeared; his eyes glanced down at her. “Come with me then my child.” his voice soft. The girl nodded once again and climbed onto the Omens back, his fur warmed her freezing skin.
Silently, the two walked through the barred door and out into the night sky, the town was quiet, not even crickets could be heard. The girl glanced down to find the bodies of towns folk, such a sight would have made the little girl scream had she not been locked away all these years. Instead, the girl simply giggled for she knew she was free. “Where would you like to go?” The Omen asked.
“Everywhere.” The little girl whispered. And with that, they were gone.

It is said that the little girl’s cries to go home brought the omen out from the stars and into the world in which we live in.
They have been seen as true omens of either life or death, for they punish those who have done wrong, and praise those who have not.

Appearance:

Omens look as though their skin and fur has been pulled away to reveal a skull underneath. The ‘second’ head located above the skull is always present, nor can it be removed.

All omens have long slender canine like bodies, their paws resemble that of a lion with large non retractable claws.

Omens tails are not made of the same material as the rest of their body. The tail appears to be some kind of gas, which takes the appearance of space, or looks like a glowing mist.

Omens always have at least one ring located around their neck and tail. These rings are made from the same substance as the Omens tail, but can be seen more clearly. Above the forehead, a small shining star-like object floats in place, this appears to be an Omens source of life.

Life Style:

Omens are spiritual beings which have the ability to to live for up to a thousand years, though they can be killed like any other animal would.

An Omen can breed only on full moons, a pregnant female will carry the kit with her until the next full moon, making it a very short pregnancy stage.

Kits stay with their parents for the first 2 years of their life.
