another trade; my half was a character design for @/equinedoodless on instagram

i'll try to push through my pile of overdue art because a lot of people are asking for things that i promised them, so if i have an outlasting trade with you, please let me know

but anyway, here's a recent trade. i'll have another finished tomorrow hopefully of a good friend's winged oc tomorrow. this one was heaps of fun since i got to design the character as i worked from a description/prompt. those are my favourite types of character designs because i love seeing how they turn out. i tried a new technique with hair shine involving a different brush: i think it's too bright and stark and i should lower the contrast a little, but i like the effect.
