Description "Shuichi! We do not allow locked doors! Open up! It's ten-o-clock! wake up!" Screamed Hatanaka on the other side of the door. Pounding his fists against the door. Kurama opened his eyes and sat up in bed, he had forgotten Shuichi had fallen asleep with him. But when the limp body moved closer to him, he looked down and smiled. Then a sudden pounding knock reminded him Shuichi shouldn't be here! Hurridely he called, "I'm sorry! I'm not dressed!" Thinking he could sneak Shuichi out of here, he shook the body frantically until it's eyes opened with utter confusion at why he was being shaken so frantic. Shuichi looked up then relized what the matter was. Whispering frantically Kurama guided Shuichi to the window sill. "Here," he said lifting him up on it. Kurama pointed over his younger brothers shoulder and said, "Jump to that tree and climb down. I'll call for Shiori then run inside to your room!" Shuichi gulped nervously and nodded. trying to be brave.
Plan foiled. Hatanaka stood at the door with confusion then anger at his other sons words, "I'm sorry, Im not dressed." Kurama looked back along with Shuichi. The two boys stared in horror. How dense can you be, Kurama?! Regretting what he said earlier. Shuichi was called to the door and then pushed out. Things were about to become very Violent..Kurama feared it..and could feel it..

Kurama felt fear rising inside him and pouring out of his body with trembles. The intensity of looking this man in the eyes when he wore that angered face would frighten kittens. Also, Kurama did not know what would come out of his mouth. Fearing he'd never be able to come back to this house. Being kicked aside. All because of one little mistake and one man.
"I can't believe you." He finally spoke. "We let you inside our home and welcome you! Espeically when you're in need. When you cannot help yourself. You're really a pitty now. You always have been in my sight. I knew you were too feminine...and to have sex with my son?! Do you know how screwed up he's going to be now because of you? Huh, Shuichi?! Im ashamed to even be your step fath-" Kurama finally gainging courage spoke up, he could not take this trash talk any longer. Espiecally since everything he spoke to Kurama was a lie. A damn lie! "There is no we in this. Leave my mothers name out of your flithy, tarnished mouth. Shiori was always welcoming to me, but you being the man here. You make the descions. I cannot feel welcome in my old home any longer because of such discomfort, I do not appreciate that. Nor does my poor mother. I am never in such need that I cannot support myself. Every human being needs comfort..but seeing you have no heart..You see it from a different side. And I'll reassure you, your son has not been penetrated by me. I have more respect than that, I have more dignity than to do something so low." Finally coming to a finish he said with a smart-ass smirk and deadly green eyes that yelled 'Don't mess with me' he said "Im sure my mother wouldn't like hearing such things out of you. I am *not* your son."
Hatanka gasped and recoiled in more anger. "Then how do you explain being not dressed?" "A simple esxcue to stall for time to help Shuichi-kun out of my room before we were found out about. Not for doing something illegal, but because he's cold at night. He is a nemeic..You sorry esxcuse for a father." he hissed. Hatanaka came closer to the redhead. But with a more deadly glare. He began to ball up his fists. Now that he and his 'son' were face to face and eye to eye. He really expected fear in the teens eyes, but he only recieved the look of True anger and a true taunting look. As if Kurama wanted him to do something to put himself in jail. Too bad for him that he was so mad that the thought of going to jail for assault never occured in his numskulled head.
Kurama still had some what respect for the man, only because he was human.
Only because the human kind raised him. Only because these people make mistakes.
He had feelings for other creatures and cared if they screwed up or not.
With a thrusting fist foward towards Kuramas face he quickly grasped the mans wrist inches away from his face and barely showed any sign of struggling to stop him. "Weak." he Twisted his wrist and with that, Hatanka fell to the floor with a gasping scream.
Atleast it could be called as 'Self-defense.'
Half way out the door Kurama stopped, he felt he should say something more. But for his mothers sake. Looking over his shoulder and back at the helpless soul apon the floor he said warningly, "Do not threaten Shiori again."

He scrambled to his feet, forgetting the pain in his wrist but now focused on getting revenge for Kuramas harsh words towards him. "Such disrespect is not allowed!" Kurama turned just in time to see what was coming and was quite surprised but even totally shocked when the mans fist nailed him right in the cheek, it was hard enough to send him flying into the wall in the hallway..Falling to the floor..Hatanaka, smirking a crazed smile did not expect the teen to raise his head, yet so slowly, then glare him in the very eyes. The eyes were angry with a mixture of sadness. As if he no longer cared about anything. The glare was so cold and unfriendly Hatanaka stopped smiling. "Don't make me laugh." he said trying to sound not shaken by the glare.
"I do not understand your cruelity towards me. Have I not suffered enough? Have I really been pushed aside...Because of you?" He blinked in confusion. "Shuichi. You're disgraceful and no longer allowed because of your actions."
"Pick your words more carefully.." he kept his head bowed.

Minutes after Hatanaka left, Kurama went downstairs where his mother stared at the bruise on his cheek asking question after question. Kurama only replied, "It was an accident mother, honestly. I am fine." he gave a weak and fake smile to her. Kurama looked over to his step-father and did not understand why he didn't demand him gone now. He guessed he was planning for something more serve. So serve Kurama would never forget. And would never want to return again. Just waiting for the perfect time to strike..like a lion.
But..Kurama would not leave his mother alone with such a man.
No longer did he care for himself. Just for this human woman.

"Mother, are you sure you do not want me to walk you there instead?" Asked a worried son to his mother. Shiori blushed and gave a smile then pecked Kurama on the cheek oppisite of the bruise which was now covered with a bandaid. "No. I can walk. And I'll be fine. I just know the church will be thrilled to have a new memeber-Shuichi-kun." Shuichi-kun had finally been forced to go by his father. Why now? because it was always Shuichi-kuns choice not to go. But now he had to go. Kurama stood in the doorframe watching his mother and step-brother walk off in happy silence into the night until they disappeared. The wind blew past Kurama, taking his hair with it and pushing strands of hair into his face. Kurama neatly placed a strand of hair behind his ear and watched towards the moon. "Hiei.." he thought.
"Shuichi." he heard a rough voice call. Willingly and cautionsly he entered the kitchen where he saw his step-father leaning against a counter with his arms crossed. Looking very unhappy. "I want you out, right now, before your mother and my son get back." "I can only go knowing my mother is being treated correctly," he sounded alittle stubborn to the man. "And who made you boss? Last time I checked Mr. Shuichi, I was older." Only if he knew the truth! "I believe the house is in my mothers name." the man did not reply. That was true.
"Shuichi." Kurama stopped from walking out of the kitchen and looked over his shoulder with a curious gaze. "I know how to vanish you, and if I have to do this. I will." Kurama was not frightned and didn't feel as threatened as Hatanka wanted him to be. "Do what you feel you must." He said with an uncaring tone as he walked away and upstairs.

For once Kurama was able to gather his thoughts and acutally think calmly about the past events.
Things were bad enough already without his step-father trying to vanish him from his family.
He could see the little demon chained against a wall this minute with a scared and child like frightended face.
So hurt and beaten he was scared to talk and all he could do was scream for help inside his head. Hoping to reach Kurama.
Since Kurama had not come in contact with the telepathetic he was also worried he could be dead.
Or maybe he was living a life of pain now, being beaten and whipped. Things shoved in unpleasant places.
Being worked to death. Being forced to murder or do dirty deeds for whoever.
Or maybe he was locked away. But atleast he wasn't being harmed.
He let out a sigh he was unsatisified with all these posibilites.
And then there WAS the worry that Hatanaka could do something to ruin Kuramas life. This stress should not be pushed upon the foxes shoulders he felt. Only if someone knew he was hurting so much. Only if he could tell someone how he felt.
How depressed he was. How scared he was. His body collasped with worry and his head flopped onto the desk he sat at.
He fell to a peaceful sleep. For once, he felt happy..but only in his dream.
Where he and Hiei were together and nothing could harm either of them. Thats the way it should be now.

Just moments later, which only seemed to be thiry minutes since his mother left, She and Shuichi were back.
Kurama stepped downstairs to greet them, on the last step he stopped and just stared for a moment at his mother and then at his step-father then proceeded to wrap his arms around her in a welcoming hug. "Shuichi, you seem to be feeling better lately. When do you plan to take your leave?" he sounded so anxious to say that too. SHiori, letting go, put her hands on his shoulders and smiled at her son. "He can stay as long as he wants. It feels good to have something so precious to me home again." Shuichi-kun stared admirningly behind Shiori. His gaze was lost upon the two. He wished his mother could still be alive to tell him such wonderful things. At that thought he looked to his father for him to say something, but he did not. Hoping Shiori would turn around and say something wonderful about him too, he held his fingers crossed and looked hopfully over his shoulder. Shiori did no such thing and only went upstairs with a silent happy smile planted on her face. Shuichi-kun let his fingers uncross and his head bowed and he shortly fallowed her upstairs to change into his nightwear. Kurama noticing the longfull look grabbed his shoulder gently enough to startle him and make him turn around. "I'm glad I can see you again. Maybe tomorrow we can do something together." he whispered just enough for Shuichi to hear and not his father.
His whole face gleamed with light and he smiled anxiously. It's as if he had read his mind. And happyily he ran upstairs.
Just then the tiny compact inside Kuramas pocket began to go off. Before he could even touch the first step with his foot his father had come out of the kitchen and stopped in the doorway and said to his son, "Whats the rush? Speak to your friend here." The tall handsome redhead knew his boundtarys in the human world and now he had to make a careful choice and stepped back some. He put his hand into his pocket and clicked an off button on the outside of the compact and quickly grabbed his phone and acted to stare disappointedly at it. "Missed call." He pretended to redial and to get no answer. His father gave a look of permisson to go upstairs now, and hurridely Kurama did.

He was startled the minute he shut his door by a tiny ring inside his pocket. Relizing what it was he hurridedy flipped open the tiny pink compact. "Botan?" His eyes widened. They must have found something! Something to help him find his Hiei!
"Have you any idea where Hiei might be?! His whereabouts?!" he sounded frantic.
"I'm so happy to see you've gotten your colors back! Esepically in your cheeks. Oh and Hiei?" She trailed off and looked sadly the other way and then back at Kurama. Kurama let out a sad sigh, Botan let out a tiny smirk and started bursting out with laughter. "I'm sorry Kurama, but Yusuke and Kuwabara insisted. We've found Hiei, and Koenma was wondering if you were feeling healthy enough to help us go kidnap him back!" she sounded extra perky. He felt chains unreval his heart, like the world lifted off his shoulders. Such relief.
"I'm..so Reliefed..I'll be there soon." he smiled tenderly with such a sweet gaze in his eyes. Without hesitation he opened a portal to spirit world, looked back, and jumped into the portal. "I'm coming Hiei..."

"Rose whip!"
"SPirit gun!"
"Sword, get long!"
Kurama, swinging his rose whip around was beginning to feel his heart beat harder and faster knowing they'd soon make it to Hiei. After thirty minutes of endless swinging, endless blasting and slashing the boys gathered side by side to gaze upon a higher castle room. "he's suppose to be in there." stated Yusuke bluntly. "How are we gonna get up there? I dont see how we'll climb all those stairs! and what if it's Booby trapped, Yusuke?!" Yusuke agreeing looked to Kurama, and Kuwabara joined in on staring at the redhead. he felt their eyes on him and turned to face them. "I honestly don't have any ideas. Im sure we can take the stairs." his mind was racing, and he could not think he was so anxious. "Kurama? Not having any ideas? I was gonna suggest using your plants to lift us." "The ground is concrete Yusuke, and we're very high off of the ground floor. There are no plants here for me to use." "Oh..." "Alright! well, on with climbing!" He marched off trying to not show he was embarssed by his dumb idea. Kuwabara, running after yelled "You mean walk!" Yusuke looked back and smirked crazily. "Yeah, that!" Kurama rolled his eyes and followed behind with a smile. things are turning back around..
"My legs are killing me." Complained Kuwabara.
Yusuke panting behind him also agreed, while Kurama wasn't sweating nor panting. "You..damn...demons!" Yusuke said tumbling to the ground along with Kuwabara. "We can't take another step." they wailed together.
Kurama looked behind him then pointed to a door and sweat dropped. "We're here acutally..."
Kurama placed a gentle hand to the door. His head dropped and he smiled. He was ready to get his revenge for whatever these brutes had done to his fire demon. Whatever torture and pain he'd been through he'd take care of it. How he longed to craddle the small body in his arms and tell him everything would be fine. And that he'd never leave him alone ever again. That he'd always be with him. But there was a string jerking his heart for some reason he didn't want to open this door, but he wanted Hiei but he didn't want to see what abuse had happended. He didnt want to end up in tears infront of his new enemies or his team. This was something he'd have to be very brave about. A gentle hand touched his shoulder and gripped it enough for Kurama to turn his head. He looked at him. Yusuke could sense the worry and smiled. "He'll be fine, theres nothing he can't put up with." "Yeah!" Kuwabara joined in. "Hamster legs is too tough for any of 'em. and he won't probably listen. For all we know they probably got tired of 'em and put him in a cage!" Yusuke nudged him in the ribs. "Don't listen to him," he pointed behind himself as Kuwabara hopped around holding his rib cage groaning. "Hieis fine." "I can only hope so." Kurama smiled and tried reassuring them he wasn't upset. Yusuke put his hand on the doors handle and Kurama put his hand on the door. Kurama gave a strong push to move the rusty old door. Yusuke let go of the handle on the door faster than lightning and grabbed Kurama as he fell to his knees. The room was covered with blood. And by the smell it was Hieis. Splattered blood laid across the walls and cold dugenon floor. Kuwabara got the shivers and couldn't move his body. He stood right behind them in the door way shaking with fear. "I dont like this feeling.." he barely murmured.
"Kurama..He's not dead..I promise." he rubbed his team mates back comfortingly and tried his best to sound plesant towards Kurama. trying to show reassurance in his tone as he himself too tried not to think of how this blood got here. He too knew it must be Hieis. Because the male standing in the middle of the room was in perfect condition. "I see you've made it past all the guards and had a nice walk up here." he gave a slight chuckle. Kurama was enraged by his tone. He felt it wasn't funny and none of this was. Nothing was funny. Yusuke stood up and since everyone else was either scared or upset he had to be the brave one at that moment. "I don't know if you haven't noticed yet, but we're missing a smaller memeber of our group. Have you seen him? Yay high, spiky hair." just because everyone else was upset he was of course going to add humor and a smirk. "Don't worry about him, worry about yourselves rather you'll live and even get past me. The guards are entertaing him. Don't worry, he's having fun." Kurama shook even more violently at that.
"You better not have don-!!" a sudden hand grabbed Yusukes shoulder and pushed him aside gently. Kurama held warning in his eyes as he stepped before Yusuke to show himself to this cruel hearted demon. "You have something of mine...I want him back alive." "Hm, maybe." said the tall blue figure with spiky hair which covered his grey eyes. "Why do you have him anyways?!" hollared Kuwabara getting back his courage. "He's just fun to play with and it also angers all of you. I needed revenge on the fox boy anyways along with the rest of you spirit detectives. Long ago, you see. You killed me. I was smarter than that fool Enma and made an exscape and I put myself in this body so I could come back to put you in hell." he pointed a finger and glared at them all from behind it. "Talk is cheap." Kuramas eyes made contact with this other demons. His stare was truly like a deadly foxes. Like an angry wolf. Brave and noble but enraging with anger that really did show. "Ha ha ha, you'll get him back though. I know he means so much to you and thats why I've done what I've done to him!" he laughed carelessly not knowing how dangerous Kurama was becoming as he pulled out several cards. Kurama jerked a simple rose from his hair and held it between two fingers. "Hahahahah!" he laughed throwing card after card aimlessly at Kurama missing each time as the rose whip swung. They acted like they had strings on the ends of them and avoided the swings and landed on the ground or stuck into the concrete walls. AFter running around trying his best to hit him he finally stopped to gaze around the room. "Have you not noticed?" he asked as Kurama began to form petals around himself. "Your petals wont do anything good. you're trapped!" Kurama could sense this demons plan and knew how weak he acutally was. "Before I finish you, tell me how you captured the jagen master." that was he only demand. He crossed his arms. "Simple. I hid what aura I had and snuck up on him. Of course I used a speical type of poison so strong he was knocked out for awhile and that poison drained his enegry."
"But too bad you'll never get to tell anyone this story or live to rescue him! I've got you trapped!" He reached out his arm and his sharp finger nails glisended as strings appeared and the cards from all over the room began to glow and show attached strings of metal forming a cage around Kurama. But before the cage could take it's deadly effect Kurama sent the razor sharp petals flying, which didn't cut through the metal but was enough of a distraction that the demon watched as each flower petal flew back to Kurama. they bounced off like bouncy balls. "KURAMA!" Came a cry from the two other boys watching non-stop.
