You know, I was originally going to note how his navel is rather elongated but, real horse navels are actually elongated scars rather than rounded indents like with humans, so this actually fits fine, even if it wasn't intentional. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/x/x… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="93" title="XD"/>
Areas of Improvment:
You mentioned the arm being a struggle for you, and I can understand that. His right one would look better if we could see his hand somewhere, even if only the fingers so that we don't have to wonder about where it's positioned. Admittedly it took me several glances to realize the fur by his hair was actually his elbow.
The only other thing that bothers me is the water, which doesn't really have much of an impact; his body doesn't appear wet outside the way the hair is drawn, and the water vanishes into nothing half-way through the picture. I think water effects would be a worthwhile thing for you to experiment with in the future! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/> You might find them fun to play around with, and it'll enhance your detail.
Great Aspects:
What isn't awesome about this artwork? His anatomy is generally well-sculpted and delicious, his mane/hair looks great, and I believe this artwork is single-handedly giving me a fetish for armpit hair. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/x/x… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="93" title="XD"/> Seriously, I've never seen more puffy or fitting pit hair. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="16" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="326" title="Blush"/>
I'm glad to see this piece brought to a finish at last! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/> Thank you for sticking through with it, even if the posing was never easy for you to get right. I think it turned out great, considering everything!
