In my headcanon, Pinkie's pretty much omnisexual (that is, she cares about personality over gender, species and looks), but this picture is for the Lavenderverse (if you want to call it that) in particular. It's not completely set in stone (might change my mind about the exact partners yet), but what is certain is that Pinkie has two partners at once. Likewise she's decided not to conceive children, but to adopt instead, because she feels she wants to make some already existing ponies' lives happier. And while she may not be the most responsible mom ever, she certainly manages to brighten up a few childhoods. (I'm thinking 5 or 6 actually)Related content

I believe pan- and omnisexual are usually used interchangeably, but in this case I chose omnisexual specifically cause I think it covers for non-human species as well, whereas pansexual does not (to my knowledge).

Lol. Much as I hate to bring up sexuality at all, it's how I see Pinkie. And it's certainly easier to just say "omnisexual" than repeating the definition every time. The only other way I could think to put it is "all-inclusive", but that sounds a bit silly

It's just that saying "she cares about personality over [...]Β looks" implies that other people only care about looks over personality. A healthy relationship is NEVER about looks > personality and has little to do with the term omnisexuality I think.

This actually runs pretty close to my own headcanon about Pinkie. While not necessarily being in a multiple relationship constantly, she's very open minded and very communicative when it comes to her partners and how many she has at any one time. Difference is that she would've done this a lot when she first came to Ponyville, and has slowed down since then, with only a few escapades here and there. This is mostly because I want her to end up with Pokey Pierce (and I'm so happy you didn't forget him, btw) for my own NextGen verse.

Going "pinkie is omnisexual toot toot" kinda rubs me the wrong way in a technical sense.
What you seem to be going for sounds like her being pansexual (love whoever the hell they want to, regardless of gender/sex/whatever) and polyamorous (handling multiple lovers at one time)
So this "omnisexual" gig sounds pretty...made up.

Well, there's arguments about the definitions, but I see it like this:
A pansexual doesn't care what another person's gender is, but they still care that it's a human person. An omnisexual wouldn't care if it's an extraterrestrial either.
In this case I specifically mean to say that Pinkie would also date a griffon, or a dragon, or whatever.
Polyamorous definitely is the case. I just didn't think to specify it.

/Love/ this concept. I don't have multiple partners myself (not something I feel I could do), BUT I certainly feel similar to Pinkie in that I've made pretty strict decisions regarding children/bringing others happiness myself, so...this piece really brightened up my otherwise kinda gloomy Sunday

Though I have always thought that a polygamous relationship would be a little uncomfortable for the group that likes the one person (and I used to think that the one person is being a little selfish in doing what is best for them and not thinking how their time is divided between husbands/wives), I am now reconsidering something I have guiltily not put a lot of thought into. If the group are friends (or lovers) enough to split the affections of one other, then why not? In fact, that one person may not be splitting their affections, just like how a parent doesn't necessarily love one child more than another nor necessarily have to divide it among them. Love is un-quantifiable, so it is never divided, only shared among more people.
I know you didn't draw this to make a statement or to necessarily make us think about such things, but you really opened my mind on a subject I thought was relatively closed.

I like the idea, and while I support ThunderPie, I wish people would use ANY other pony than Pokey. I mean, it wouldn't have to be a mare (although being omnisexual it would make sense to have another mare) , but there are other background stallions to choose from. Otherwise, great pic.

Hmm, Thunderlane? That's quite a unique ship, Β love the concept of omnisexual polygamy though. I'm not one to say that I hate everything just because of one thing because I naturallyy don't hate a lot of things and there is nothing to nitpick at all here. I do have a considerable option since you were unsure about who exactly should be her partners. Pokey Pierce seems plausible as they could become really great friends due to some event at a party (as him popping all of her balloons by accident and helping her fix the party once again.) And if you don't find this bothersome, Cheese Sandwhich! Well I have a explanation for this, Cheese Sandwhich could be attracted to her in some way because of how much she means to him. I'm saying this because she was the one who started him off to his destiny and broke him out of his shy state to be the party pony he is. Maybe when he sets off, he comes back soon and becomes one of her hubbys. And maybe even a female, such as Surprise (from the Wonderbolts) or one I find really adorable from the show Candy Mane!Β
