Description
I had this short story with a happy ending and I thought it would be nice to tell it here.

On Saturday night I casually went out to the front door of my house to get some air. Nothing unusual outside. I usually do it and nothing ever happens.
That night I was sitting quietly next to the door, when suddenly I saw a large dog in the distance running scared in my direction. They were coming in my direction but on the opposite sidewalk.
When they were close enough I called them, and despite their fright and disorientation, they responded to my call by coming closer.
I offered them water and could tell that they were very thirsty. It was certain that they had been running a long distance.
I took photos of them and checked their sex to post to local lost dog groups to find their family. The missing canine was female.
After a while, when she calmed down, I offered her to come into the house, but she didn't want to, so I left some blankets for her on the sidewalk and she stayed there.
At one point during the night, shortly after going to bed, I felt something scratching at the door; It was she who changed her mind and decided that she would be better inside the house.
That night we slept together and a nice bond was formed. I thought she needed someone's company to feel better, and I was right.
The next day we went for a walk, without collar, without leashes. She just walked by my side as if we had known each other all our lives.
In the afternoon we took a nap together and then spent some quietly enjoyable time at home.
When night fell, I received a call. It was her family. They saw one of my many posts on Facebook and recognized her. That's when I found out her name was Sasha.
When her family came for her, they wanted to offer me a reward, however, I rejected it, asking them in exchange to go for a walk with her from time to time. Although they accepted the proposal, I still haven't received any message from them, so I guess they changed their mind.
I would love to see Sasha again. In a short time we became great friends, but at the same time I understand that her family is in charge of her and the decision depends exclusively on them. I would be satisfied knowing that she is completely happy with her family.
