These two sprites are the first of many to be featured in an upcoming game (to be announced), inspired by Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars. These sprites were drawn by the very same artist, and any fan of Heroes 2 will know that this is genuine when they read this note from the artist herself:"As an artist for Magic 2, I was fortunate to work with many talented artists and for a great company to create a game we were all proud of. I was pleasantly surprised when approached by Ryan Smith asking if I might be interested in working on project that would provide the look in the original artistic style, but different enough to enhance and continue that same enjoyable gaming experience, I jumped at the opportunity and hope everyone enjoys the end results." -- Shelly Garcia
The game is considered an original work and not a fan-based project. This is intended to be what gamers refer to as a "spiritual successor."
This game will be a tribute to New World Computing, its many, many fans, the developers who put their heart and soul into the making of Heroes 2, and to Jon Van Canegham, the man who started it all. Now let's rock! -- Ryan Smith
