This is too good for me to put into words! But I will admit that it seems right for Darkwing to get a Batman-inspired comic cover.Β

Now THAT is pretty cool. I'd be equally interesting if you did a homage to the cover of Detective Comics #27 for an issue of Walt Disney's Comics & Stories with the sell line: "IN THE ISSUE: THE DARING EXPLOITS OF THE ONE AND ONLY DARKWING DUCK"....at least for one issue of the comic reprinting some comic stories that appeared in issues of Disney Adventures magazine during the early 1990s.

Wow, this captures the essence of old 60's cartoon comic books. Awesome stuff, Sibsy.

THIS COVER ROCKS!
Also I'd like to say that this is one of the best ongoing comics of this year but there was something that bug's me. It's not a big issue, but it gets jarring at times and it gets really jarring in this issue: So in previous issues Negaduck found out Darkwings secret identity due to a screw up by Launchpad and launched an attack on his house but was taken away by the robot guards which was the reason why Darkwing gave up on being a superhero, and in this issue he says that because he found out his identity, it explains how he got all the other Darkwing copies (BTW seeing Gosalyn dead is really freaky), now this is all good from a storytelling perspective, but from a continuity perspective it's really jarring because of one tiny episode from the series "Life, the Negaverse and Everything" where they basically say that Negaduck is the evil version of Drake Mallard so how didn't he know his own identity. All I want to know if you might now if an Brill didn't know about it or did he just ignored that continuity issue (like how Ed Brubaker didn't know that Holly Robinson was dead when he wrote Catwoman, or how Don Rosa ignored everything that was not established by Carl Barks when he wrote Disney comics)?

You're welcome. I'll have to pick up that cover for Rescue Rangers #3, as well.

Nice! I wonder if you ever played the Darkwing Duck game on NES before? I think someone (maybe Angry Video Game Nerd) reviewed it before and was not happy about it since not only it sucked, but also there was great games of Disney Saturday shows being made (Rescue Rangers and Duck Tale). Which he consider there's no excuse to screw up Darkwing Duck.

Sibsy In reply to DrunkardHu [2010-10-10 15:59:06 +0000 UTC]
I did...and I fricken HATED it. It was impossible and I remember being frustrated playing it. I'm pretty sure I didn't make it past the 3rd level - if that.
I agree, with DuckTales and RR for the NES, there really WAS no excuse to make DW so crappy.

love the feel of this sibs, really has a vintage type edge to it and at the same time feels fresh too. not to mention there needs to be more gizmo duck art out there. great cover piece, i love the feel of the logo too.

THanks....I was worried that Disney was going to pull it and make me change it to the regular DW logo. I'm glad they kept it.
