ok, so i decided to go ahead and submit the low res jpeg of this piece, or a version of this piece, since i think these photos look pretty nicepearls sewed into my skin, like a necklace....pearls are so loaded as symbols, and so is the pearl necklace...pearls have an interesting history in art as well....especially in painting (obviously)
i plan on printing these images up to at least 2 feet across, maybe larger, we'll see... DEFINITELY full view these so you can see the details of the sewing...

This is a fantastic idea, but its hard to see the stitches in the first image. Your dedication is impressive, I'd draw the line a long way before sewing my own skin for art.

This is really, really interesting.
I looked at this and thought it was some sort of manipulation (with make-up) at first, so reading that it was sewn in takes away the mystique a little - it's like, the pearls have marked you in some way. Wearing them has tainted your skin.
Which is what's happened in reality so I suppose I should be quiet.
Amazing piece, whatever the case.

Beautiful and thought provoking piece! But if you forgive me being a bit fatherly, I would like you not to harm yourself even for art. Another great piece though!
