Interesting...
I like the perspective and how you've captured it with the feet pointing downwards, as I think they're usually pointed upwards, if you get what I mean?
The tone is a bit too intense, perhaps.. and I feel that you could have a vignette so that we're more focused on the main subject matter instead of the background where it's deeper in terms of the colours and such.
The framing is good enough and the lighting isn't bad, either.
Kind of scary, this.

Yeah, the feet are pointed upwards, but was not possible as I was shooting a sand sculptor, and he would not be in that position at any time. But his photograph did turn out to be a little dark and macabre, if I may, so I titled it so.
I did try the vignetting too, but somehow preferred this one over the other. But you are right, it distracts attention. Will keep that in mind.
And yeah, lastly, scary it is.
