..... wow... this has such depth of emotion... my heart nearly stopped and my breathing hitched.
The only thing that is kind of going through my mind as a back story is that Kakashi was on a mission with Team 7 and Naruto died or something... because Naruto is like a son to Iruka so the apathy could be coming from shock.
^-^ my version probably sounds dumb, but anyways, your art is amazing!

Is Iruka dead? That's what I first thought when I saw this. I thought that Iruka and Kakashi were on a mission and Iruka deid at the end and Kakashi is mourning.

I would have liked it better if it had been Rin or Sakura. Then Kakashi would have been truly begging the forgiveness for the loss of the two Uchihas.... History always repeats itself.
Nice job though, I love your style. At first I liked your colored works, and thought why not color all your lineart, but honestly...I see them differently now. This would not make as great a statement if it weren't just black and white.
