Corythosaurus casuarius

Notes: Once the Homalocephale scurried away, we heard the sound of something big crashing through the jungle. At first, we were afraid it was a large carnivore that had escaped from its enclosure. But to our relief, it was a herd of Corythosaurus, large crested herbivores as big as a bus. In fact, I was afraid they would come into the river and tip us over, but they fortunately stuck to the shore, drinking from the river or eating the ferns and leaves that grew on the banks. They are members of the Lambeosaurine family, and like most of their relatives, they sport a crest on the top of their heads; the one on Corythosaurus looks like the top of a Corinthian helmet (hence how they got their name). These hollow crests are believed to be used to resonate sounds similar to the crest of birds like the cassowary and hornbills. Corythosaurus traveled in large herds, where the eyes of multiple individuals would look out for danger. This would increase the chances of survival. Like other hadrosaurs, it was also functionally bipedal, meaning it walked on all fours and was able to run on its hind legs. The Corythosaurus is also one of the dinosaurs where we have found rare, mummified skin. Even before they were cloned, scientists had a pretty good idea on what Corythosaurus was like alive, and now the specimens in the park prove this even further. - Fluttershy

It is a little on the lengthy side, but honestly I love ^^ Might redo some of the others to fit this style, after these are all done that is.
