Magic. Mephisto (Marvel's Devil) made a deal: if MJ and Peter gave up their marriage (like, it never exsisted) he'd heal Aunt May (shot by a snipers bullet ment for Peter after Civil War). MJ forced the desicion, and now it's like 1970 all over again; Peter's single, Harry Osborn's alive, and Peter is living at Aunt May's. MJ is still there, but as an ex-girlfriend. It just kinda goes against the grain: a charchter known for his dedication to responsability, making a deal with the devil to save someone. it irks me.

I don't read a lot of Marvel, but I know enough to know that Harry being alive again is going to mess with all sorts of continuity. What a can of worms.

Yeah. If they prefaced it with "you have a year to figure it out, or it'll be this way forever" Id still beareading it. It would've at least given them a buffer.
