Description "Journal: Operation Crystal Arrow - Day 3.....I haven't found anyone since I've been seperated from my team. Battles are still going on in the distance. EnemyΒ  contact has only been minimal, but I think the Covenant is advancing. Another ship appeared on the horizon...by the looks of it they started glassing the city...also this damn rain doesn't want to stop"

Rain...RAAAAIIIIINNN
The rain in this picture has been a genuine challenge for me, and even now I'm not sure if it looks realy how it should.
If anyone has something to say about the rain, please tell me. Except for an old picture of mine "Watching Dogs" (uploaded 07.06.2014), I haven't tried anything else like this

Anyway, besides all of that, I hope you guys like this one

As I told TheStig123100 I did it all in Photoshop
I'd say just check out the comment thread, I described how I did there.

If you have another question just message me ^^

Damn where did you get that ODST model

On the Workshop

But I think it's one of the direct-rips from Halo 3 ODST
The Models from that Mod are a bit cleaner, feature better helmets and also have the faces of the characters
(So that you can have Buck or the rest of them)

Really good image. How did you do the rain effects and whatnot?

Purely through Photoshop (the original picture in Garry's Mod was "dry" so to say)

There's multiple free brushes on the internet that include splashes and Rain drops (there's also PNG files that can be layered onto the picture)
The splashes were added individually on the surfaces they touched.
Done with the correct transparancy, some good filtering to give them the right colour and glow and the right placement on your main surfaces rain can look pretty good.
But I wouldn't underestimate the work itself. I needed multiple attempts before it lookes as it should
Just try experimenting a bit ^^

Thx! I've been trying SUPER HARD to do effects here and there (unfortunately not looking too great in the end). Oh well, practice makes perfect.

Oh something else that I wanted to make sure:
I used a reference Image to give me some idea how the rain should look

It's called "The Doctor has to go" (by Yhrite)
sidezeo.deviantart.com/art/The…

I'd suggest you check it out and try to get an idea of how ideal rain could look, I would say it's even a better example than mine
Good luck with your future efforts
