FFFF Howwwl! <3 and Calcifer xDOmg, I swear to Hayao Miyazaki, if you are a Studio Ghibli fan and haven't watched Howl's Moving Castle, half your life is missing. I usually say that about every movie, but this time I mean it. Like, wow. I watched this 5 years ago, and now I've re-watched it again. It never fails to amaze me ;u;
I wanted to practice with light here. It's not perfect and I know I can improve, but I think its a good start.

Oh my gosh can I just say you did Calcifer SO much justice here?! I mean, the entire pic is so pretty and I like the lightning (don't care what you say!) but Calcifer is really a crown jewel in my opinion!

I love that expression!
The shading is superb, especially with the light of the fire contrasting with the darker side. The monster side of Howl is really well done, great job making it creep up without taking over the whole picture
All in all, a wonderful picture! Keep up the great work!

It looks like you did this in Photoshop? Β Is that your program of choice? Β Anyway, (this comment is super late lol) I love the coloring and the shading, it's just...gah, I envy. Β Shading things, particularly skin, is something I struggle with so much but it seems like it comes very naturally to you. Β (Especially in Photoshop because the way the brushes interACT THEY DON'T BLEND). Β Overall the color scheme and the distinguishing of the lighting source, it's just so hella. Β Rock on.
