Interesting. It looks as though she's holding that smokey spire, though I think it's supposed to be in the background. Otherwise it does suggest something rather Promethean. Setting that aside though the whole BDSM badass running around does kinda make me think of the old Aeon Flux cartoons if you remember those at all.

The appearance that she is holding the smokestack was intentional. I used to smoke, I quit about a year and a half ago but the urge is still there. This drawing was done during a period of a lot of work related change and the feeling of running over a railway line with gaps into an abyss, made all the more precarious in unconventional footwear was a result of this radical shift in to a new space. The smokestack in the background is a constant reminder of temptation, but with the question of no matter the situation, do I really want to go back there. While I did watch the Aeon Flux film I never saw the cartoons or read the comics. It certainly is absurd to see a women in high heels in the act of running. I'd imagine it's impossible?

I think it's possible but it takes some skill and training. There has been a growing trend of women and drag queens holding little races where all the participants must wear stilettos.
