At my school I'm in a club called the Japanese Friendship Club (JFC). Every year we have an art contest where the winner gets their picture on the back of the club shirt (but 'till this year the shirts have never gotten made *rolls eyes* thank god for our new resident) but you can't use copywrited characters so I've never entered. There there's the manga contest where you draw an original manga but the past few years only 2-3 ppl ever enter so this year it was replaced with a fanart contest! I was so happy, and i HAD to draw negima. I wanted to put in more but there's just so much you can put on one paper. I may amp this up with somemore background stuff and some airbrushing later but I wanted to post the version that i won the contest with *does a victory dance*. I thought I was gonna lose tho. Seriously there was this other girl who drew a naruto/inuyasha/fma cross (i dont even know what the pic was about i was too consumed in how good it was) with amazing lineart and reaaaaally good shading done with prisma pencils. our pres. said that she almost won because of that because you never see good colored pencil stuff and nobody seems to realize just how hard it is to use pens and make it look good.... especially when i only had a really light skin tone and a really dark one. no in-between. *glares at panda-chu* because i ran out on a previous picture @.@ lol anyway..... yay! i won!Related content

I never saw all of the anime so I don't know if he was in it or not. But his name is Kotaro and he's a dog demon or something like that. He's negi's friend/rival even though he is originally introduced as an enemy during the arc where the class takes a trip to kyoto looking for negi's fathers old home. And anyway, thanks a lot for the fav XD I appreciate it. You should give the manga a read its even better than the anime and the story is still going. but thanks again. glad you liked it XP ill prolly post more negima stuff soon so keep an eye out for it if you are interested\

Yeah. You know about Love Hina by akamatsu, right? Best anime/Manga of all time (at least thats what I think) It's really awesome. If you like Negima, you'll love it.

oh yeah ive read it. need to finish it but i got up to like 13 i think so i need to read the last 2 manga. i liked it. i loved the artstyle which is essentially the same as negima but a little less refined i guess since it was from several years before and it was a lil more repetative. but i think that mostly bothered me cuz i read most of it in one sitting. when you have to wait for a manga to come out every month you dont notice repetativeness in a story cuz you forget a lil each time. but yes to stop rambling XD i liked the series a lot. again read the manga didnt watch it

I spent 70 pounds on Manga and got:
Love Hina's = 4
Negimas (yey!^^) = 3
School Rumbles = 3
AND I went to HMV... and they had animes on DVD. I think I was trembleing when I went to the counter. I never even thougt of or considerd them being sold in England. My mum said I looked like I was having a stroke of shock... I think I was. I could only afford two, but one is a Negima episodes 1-6. ^^ SHOCK HORROR! Hey, if you know anywhere else they sell loadsa manga/anime, tell me please?
Oh, and I noticed something: In Love Hina (book 2 I think...) They play a game where if they answer the question wrong they have to take one item of clothing of, right? And the exact same happens in Negima. Pretty much. My friend is a big fan on the Akamatsu sight and says he used Love Hina references a few times in Negima because Love Hina was so successful (Won Anime expro or something like 3 times) lol I'll stop talking now XD

lol thats fine^^ i love geeking out with ppl about stuff like this. and yeah if you notice motoko totally is reincarnated in negima just a lil shorter and more cutesy XD shes akira i think. swim team girl. dont know how much they cover her in the anime. as for where to buy them... um? try movie stop if you have that there. i live in florida so its hard to say where you could get them in england XD theres always online of course too. and trust me i know how exciting it can be to finally find stuff youve been looking for for like...ever. the first time i bought anime it was off this asian girl at my school and i thought she was my only resource XD lol oh and theres always cons too. you got cons in england right?

Butz you know Class Rep and the girl with the coke bottle glasses? The front of their hair is Shibou's, and the glasses are Naru's, if you get what I mean. Also Asuna's hair is like Naru's at the front, but made slightly shorter. Heh ^^ It's on some english blog of his. ^^

T.T I weep for you my friend. a con is an experience that every true fan must experience at least once. maybe you should fly over for one sometime XD they can be lots of fun. people dressed up as their fav characters getting into character and messing around getting to meet voice actors and artists, finding all kinds of cool merchandise you can never find in normal stores, making friends

...Wow. *sniff* I wish I could do to one of those... *sniff*... anyway, I've got Negima! Books 1-6 and when I discovered Kotaro... BOY DID I GO WILD! I always thought Negi was cute... but Kotaro changed it all! (I still like Link more, though ^^)

Yeah, I saw the cover of the 8th book on Google and he's on the front. Good news: I've got 1-6, and I should have 8 within the next month (If I try hard, I make 15 pounds a week, but I starve to death). Bad news: I owe my step dad 15 pounds. I've nearly got it, though. But Kotaro was like, awsome. I thought Negi rocked, but Kotaro... better. I'll have a picture of the two of them up by most likely next Tuesday.

ahh cool ^_^ good to see another dedicated fan XD im ashamed to say most of mine were gifts and ive only bought myself a few tho i recently caught myself up and bought the last three books with the only free money i had left XD it was that or neon yellow pants. it was a difficult decision. XD and im also working on my negi kotaro pic ^^ started it after class the other day whilst waiting for my ride but was then distracted by seeing a friend i hadnt seen in a while. but illget it done! i promise ^^

not really that mixed collage that black girl (was it jess? i didnt really ever know) did in colored pencils was really good. i still thought she shuld have won and i only did cuz mir was a judge

hers wasa good, I remember that now.....had FMA and IY in it right? but I didn't like the OCs she had in there.....they make my fanfic loveing self twitch cause you've seem them so many times, but her art was soooooo good, and now that I think about it I remember the coloring......sigh, although I think markers are harder to color with then penciles....
but yours was better, coloring, character placement, everything was soooo good....makes me want to go watch it >.<

yeah i didnt much like her OCs either...i dont usually like oc's...cept my own of course XD but thats just personal taste. i also feel like OCs are usually too half baked but anyway i always found colored pencils harder to use. the contest picture i did this year with KH? the reason i sprained my wrist was trying to finish coloring it in 2 hours with colored pencils. it was weird to try to do that since id never really used them before. kinda hard too

i love negima too ^^ i did it in mech pencil first, then used regular ballpoint pen. i believe it was a bic micro. i prefer the vision exact but i was stuck with vision elite for this one (i know they sound the same but they write completely different XD) and for the coloring I used copic pens. I don't know where you're from so I don't know a store you could get them from but you can find them on Amazon.com or at thecopicmarker.net if you're interested ^^

its fine! ^^ im always happy to help answer questions. i wish i had had someone to help me when i was trying to find copics. it took me two years to find a place to buy them XD. anyways they are expensive but well worth it. they ink beautifully. the markers dont bleed as much as other markers like prismacolors do, but it is best to use a thicker paper so that the ink doesnt bleed through on whatever you are drawing on. the art pad i used for this one was a Strathmore: Smooth Bristol. its just very thick, smooth paper that is much better for the pens. also, copics are very good because instead of replacing a 3-5 dollar pen whenever they run out like you would prismas, copics individually are more expensive but instead of paying for them over and over you can buy 2-3 dollar ink refils. feel free to ask anymore if you have anything else you want to know! ^_^ i hope this helps!

pretty good stuff. i'm sure you could draw almost anything. you've already ahead of rory(that a-hole). but the most important thing is your colors. there outstanding, and to hear about you winning a contest makes me happy.^^ good job, you deserve it.^^

yeah i still didnt win at the library against shannon *growls* if i had gotten my other entries up there when i found out i was allowed to put up more i coulda won.....*will never be happy about that* lol but anyway thanks^^ i dunno i always thought rory kinda sucked anyway. all his stuff looked like dragon ball. and anything he did do that was good was kinda dulled by his personality, at least to any one who knew him anyway. and i cant draw anything, not yet at least. but im working on it! your stuff is getting better tho! your shading is getting really good.
