well, he looks better shaven anyways.
it's so sad that a chemistry major ends up working as a waitress, do those kinds of things really happen there?

we had over 300 faculty degrees apply for a cleaning lady's position in a school one year, because there were no jobs available anywhere/nobody would hire them for the lack of experience or because they simply used connections to get someone else for the job.

holy cannoli, that is insane!
sometimes I wonder why dont so many go to work in other countries. here, someone with a degree would never work as something as 'janitor'.
Im not kidding when I say that businesses sign contracts with students one or two years before they have a degree becouse there is a shortage of qualified people.

well in most cases here, people are so poor that they cant afford to travel to another country even if its for work, so they apply for any job.

BWAHAHA. Reminds me of my usual shifts at work on busy nights. XD
I work at a sushi bar that's open for customers to see. I can't tell you how crazy it gets sometimes. If it weren't for me looking at my tickets and knowing how fast my boss works, I'd end up just like our poor protag here. XD;; But, it's also one of those fields where you don't get better until you've had plenty of trial by fire. Either you manage to make it work or you sink fast and go home, unfortunately. D:

last panel: One of the many reasons I had to leave waitressing. And why I always generously tip. They never get treated with enough respect.

I worked as a cook for 3 years. Hated every minute of it. However I could cook 12 orders (meals) at one time.
Orderslips are beyond needed.

He he! People think it's an easy job but it's not, and it's tiring to be all the day walking and standing, not to mention the trays!. I worked in a comic shop, 8 hours stand and not even a stoll to sit 5 minutes .___. And it was a very reduced place, crowded with shelves and stuff, it was impossible to move. I made the packages for mail. There was a shelf right behind me, with a Jack (From The Night before Christmas)statuette. Well, his fingers got tangled with my curly hair and...pooof! pieces! Two more statues had the same luck. Luckily for me, the owner's wife saved me from paying the broken things, because she said to his husband that he wasn't clever for putting fragile things there xD. And really was his fault xD

ow yeah that musve been tough.
the worst thing about waitressing is i think the at one point you are crowded with people and cant catch a break, and the next one the cafe is completly empty but you still need to be on the guard in case someone arrives XD
