Description On some occasions Neil takes his group out exploring other worlds, mainly to satisfy his own curiosity He claimed this one could be hospitable but whatever coordinates the device have given him have put him and his team in a bioluminescent swamp uncertain of whatever horrors might be lurking about, Karl and Neil don't think much of this place but something about it reminded Myra of her days as a dimensional scout under G.Scurv, the conversation follows.

Neil: Hey Karl.

Karl: Hm?

Neil: Let's say we came across some kind of monster, i know you're very strong and all but... what are you realistically going to do with that axe?

Karl: Smash it's face in, done it with people much bigger then me before, it's a halberd by the way.

Neil: Hm, what if it could shoot acid? or anything equally as nasty?

Karl: Which is why I have you, just give me an opening.

Neil: What if it's really big?

Karl: Are you gonna keep going because I might just consider feeding you to it.

Myra: *silently laughing to herself*

Neil: What's so funny Myra?

Myra: NOTHING!!! nothing... don't worry about it...

*A distant groan is heard*
*They all go silent*

Neil: Oh that's bad, you think it knows about us?
Karl: ...
Myra: god I hope not, how much longer before we can go back to Coloss or Bir?

Neil: it's almost at 50%, we're going to be stuck here a little longer, guns out safety on until we see something coming at us, and Karl.

Karl: Is my safety feature self-control?

Neil: hehe you still know, Hey Myra you okay back there?

Myra: Just hanging on, I will admit this place is beautiful, but can be oh so dangerous, being a scout was a terrifying thing back then.

Neil: You know you've never filled us in on that part of your life you wanna talk about it while we wait, how was your first expedition?

Myra: Straight up that was probably the smoothest expedition I've ever had, it's the ones that followed that were terrible, even with a team of four including myself that is.

Neil: how many did you lose and in what ways?, did anyone live long enough to get out of scout duty?

Myra: More then you think usually involving the wildlife or fauna and in terrible ways too, I remember we were studying the behavior of a really tall lanky bug like creature one time, of the four of us I think it was a guy named Paul that got caught he was impaled in the skull and started to dissolve from the inside, after we came back to check his body he was nothing but skin.

There was another time but involving plants trying to figure out what it did poked it with a stick, shot it, threw food at it nothing worked, until someone walked next to it, it immediately exploded but the person next to it was completely fine at the time.

Neil: At the time?

Myra: Yeah, around night time when we were about to go to bed the person in question began to have a seizure we quickly strapped them down to prevent them from falling and hitting their head, but it didn't stop, he began to foam from the mouth it continued for 5 more minutes then it stopped, we thought that he either suffocated or suffered severe brain damage from the seizure, we gave him a quick look they were certainly dead but something was still moving inside them not veins mind you something foreign was inside, the remainder of us collectively agreed we would burn the body as to not endanger anyone else.

There are so many more instances that I recall but when dealing with such things some of my fellow scouts either ended up torn to shreds, infected, dissolved, mauled, impaled, gutted, decapitated and what ever other way to die you can think of, I am so glad I've lived long enough to be here.

Neil: Jesus Christ Myra had I known what you put up with I probably could've gotten you a less dangerous position like being part of Jotun's crew of cooks.

Myra: Yeah but there is just a thrill to being a scout the intrigue, the sights, wouldn't have it another way, plus rotting with Craig Jotun's Crew would be a massive pain in the ass.

Neil: You never got to the part of anyone that survived long enough, ever come across anyone?

Myra: Oh yeah, another woman her name was Odessa Garcia similar age to me at the time, says she originated from the same world you did Neil.

Neil: Really? what was she before Scurv's invasion?

Myra: She was a Scholar when the invasion happened, had her home raided and joined like that said that all of her family joined her too, Heard they're in Caretakers Crew, Odessa used to be in that but said she got incredibly bored doing so, She overheard a conversation you and me had when I was still looking for a purpose and right after we stopped talking she was looking for me asked if she can join me on said expeditions.

Neil: Hm something's starting to click, I recall you wanted a handpicked teammate to accompany you, I never really thought much about it, had too much going on with other tasks, mostly moving stuff and helping Wide-Eye, but it's great to hear you had someone that always had your back.

Myra: Me and her were best mates, though never really had closure on what happened to her, She survived all the expeditions but I'm still wondering if she survived Coloss-8, Maybe one day I'll come across one of her family members so i can hear from them, How much longer on till we get back home?

Neil: 89% we're almost out of here.

Myra: just glad nothing came to kill us.
