A lovely interpretation of my favourite Tolkien elf! The eyebrows are absolutely to die for - also my most preferred feature of the movie actor. His face, particularly the jaw, is a bit masculine for the "generic Tolkien fanart elf", I would say, but on the other hand this answers canon very well - Elrond is, after all, a half-elf with part human lineage, which could easily show in his facial structure in this way. Awesome hairdo and circlet!

You know me and eyebrows ...

I have no problem drawing less masculine, looking Elves, but I'm just a bit worried that they will all look the same. Tolkien says that the High Elves just about all have dark hair and greay eyes, except one family (Galadriel's, I'm thinking? *grins*) who are fair. I have to find something to make him stand out... Do you have any suggestions?

Indeed only Finarfin and his children inherited golden hair among descendants of Finwe (but there were a few non-dark haired Noldor, too). Teleri also are mostly dark haired and grey eyed. Anyway I think it's perfectly fine to add various face features to create different characters There is no canon for Tolkien's elf look and beauty is always in the eyes of beholder. I'm happy your Elrond here doesn't look like Hugo Weaving.

Thank you! Tolkien Elves are fun to draw, so I'm sure there will be more... I want to draw a Gandalf and Aragorn too, though.

Awesome--I didn't know you were a fan! I'd love to see Galadriel, too. And Samwise, of course.

Galadriel is easy - Sam, not so much, even though he is one of my favourite characters. Hobbits are just more difficult than Elves for me... I'll see what I can do .
