No, not really. Rythian disapproves of science, because he thinks it's unreliable and and always backfires, or invokes Murphy's Law on you in some way. He disapproves extra much of Lalna, because he mixes magic and science.
But the REAL reason he absolutely despises Lalna (and Sjin too, for that matter) is because they started a nuclear war on the old tekkit server, blew everything and everyone (including Rythian and all his sw33t l00t) into smithereens and send them to the new world.
Also, he later captured Rythian in a forcefield, with the intent of using him as a garden ornament, planted a nuke under his castle, and inadvertently blew his apprentice/friend/lover Zoeya to kingdom come, resulting in her losing her arm, having to use a Dragon Ball scanner to see, plus a load of other injuries, that she only barely survived.

If you want to know the full details, you should watch Duncan and Sjin's Tekkit War videos respectively, Rythian's Tekkit Prologue, an early chunk of Sjin and Sips_s' tekkit series (Rythian is in it, for a few episodes) and finally Rythian's Tekkit/Blackrock series, season 1 through 3 (and then wait futilely for them to create new episodes along with the rest of us).
