Description EDIT (APRIL 08,2019) Reaper Species Guide has been updated for 2019.

This is a Semi-Open species so youre able to make ONE of your own for free, unless told otherwise.
You can also purchase them as a custom, as adopts, or possible MYO's in the future.

INFORMATION:

REAPERS: Humans that have been effected by small parasites found in the saliva of other Reapers which causes a genetic mutation in the body  and quickly transforms the victim into a monster.

LORE: This infection was originally found in fish and small mammals. The infected report signs of aggressiveness and the rapid growth of bones. Their mental state slowly deteriorates through the process and leaves nothing but rabid instincts.

TYPES: There are 2 types of Reapers, Full and Half-breeds.
- Full Reapers -  People who got the brunt of the infection. The parasites completely entered their bloodstreams and transformed them immediately. Their appearance are drastically changed, bones elongate, and they lose all humanity, just running on instinct.
- Half-Breeds - These are people who have either ingested or not fully had the parasite enter their system. These people dont lose their humanity completely but they gain the full aggression of Reapers. They will often (but not always) show symptoms of transformation on the body but its very slow or hardly visible. They will most likely show signs of insatiable blood-lust.

APPEARANCE:
- Full Reapers - Distinct features of a Full Reaper is glowing eyes, two rows of sharp teeth, blades (made of bone) as feet and an inside valve running from the neck to the back of the throat. Its also NOT uncommon to see ones with horns or tails. It varies with each Reaper.
- Half-breeds - There isnt much difference between a half-breed and a normal human. In cases you may see sharper teeth, discoloured eyes, or barbs coming from below the skin. Its not always the case though.

FUNCTIONS: The valve in their necks suck in oxygen and stimulates the glands in the mouth to produce more saliva causing them to drool profusely. The saliva and blood of a Reaper is very infectious and can spit at victims at a short distance using this valve. Bones are strengthened, almost like steel and the forming blades are used for jumping and grasping prey.

DIET: Reapers have a crazy obsession of eating raw meat, however when in emergency situations, they will resort to scrounging the garbage of humans. They can eat normal food but it will effect their digestion and may cause pain.

HABITAT: Full Reapers have eyes that are very sensitive to the light so they are most likely found in alleyways or dark areas such as wooded areas. Half-breeds however can walk in the daylight.

BREEDING: Once transformed into a Reaper or Half-breed, they cant reproduce with normal methods because the body rejects these functions and completely stops working. The way they breed is through saliva and blood transfer either through spitting at humans or consumption of their blood (for whatever reason). If the parasite from this enters a humans bloodstream, CONGRATULATIONS, a new Reaper is born.

LIFESPAN: Depending on how fast the parasite spreads for full to half breeds, a reaper can live between 8 months to 2 years if lucky. If the Reaper happens to contract rabies or another virus, it is possible that their life will be even shorter. Reproduction is needed before they die and decay.

KILLING METHODS: If damaged in the area where the valve in their neck is, it will cause great pain and more than likely, death. They are very vulnerable to the heart and head as well much like humans. Decapitation and damage to the heart will certainly cause death, however the body or head will live on for a short period after. Watch out for the saliva/blood.
