Description Ha Ha Ha! When I started Pure Epic almost 2 years ago I only planned 5 25 page issues. But Issue 5 has got a bit bloated so I've split it down the middle to create this, my Issue 6!

Basically in my original plan Issue 5 was only Mickey activating the amulets and Quasi Modo smashing through the window and then everything I'm going to put in this issue.

I enjoyed doing this cover. It took me all of today, mostly colouring in the black bits on the computer. I drew it out first in pencil and everything. It's my homage to the great Mike Mignola, creator of Hellboy and the BPRD which now takes up a shelf in my room. His latest Hellboy book arrived the other day and you should all know it's really cool.

But anyway, Pure Epic continues! Sorry I'm going back to fix a few things. Nothing drastic though. Just things

Is Mickey hanging on a cross?
Also, I like the number of the beast .
And I like the way you arranged the 6's on top .

I think your picture is pure epicness! I noticed it was Hellboyish, so good job with that too!

Good job with the 'Mike Mignola' style.

I also noticed the cauldron from 'The Black Cauldron'. Good reference.

Also, I must ask, what is up with the number? Is it how much money the Disney Corporation makes in a year?

Hahaha Yeah! I couldn't find a suitable one digit number so I used their Total Equity value instead. They're the biggest media and entertainment conglomorate in the world and the 4th richest company

Good job spotting the Black Cauldron! Not many people know that film, which is a shame. Even the official DVD glitches a lot and has hardly any special features

It's not the best movie out there, but I haven't seen any other film with an 'oracular pig' and the Horned King villain is pretty scary too.

Exactly! I only saw it last August. And the horned King was voiced by John Hurt!

True. He was pretty good too.

I heard the movie was based on Lloyd Alexander's Prydain novels, which, shame on me, I've never read. I should have, considering that the books were based on Welsh legends. I have little excuse as a mythology geek.

NOICE JD! Oh if only you could use the toot toot - it'd would have taken you a fraction of the time. You could have drawn the lines on one layer and then just have the two other colours below. I'm going to have to show you how to work it; you'd be so wizard with it.

Anyway, hooray for this and hooray for you! I hear you've been drawing pages in DT classes.
