I need to come up with a better title for this drawing. Also: look, I drew a background!So I recently reread "The Life and Times of Scrooge Mcduck" and completely failed at resisting the urge to draw all the characters as humans -_-
Drawing non-human characters as humans sort of makes me feel like I'm "cheating" and being shallow by enforcing the whole "every character must be made into a kawaii anime bishie" thing that seem to be fairly common, but on the other hand... it's fun, so what the heck. I did have some trouble deciding how to colour them, since there are several editions of this comic which give the characters different hair colours and so on.

If I were you I wouldn't bother this bishie cliché in this particular case. Come on, they're kids and are supposed to look cute, especially in a scene like this.
You portrayed a really charming moment from siblings' early life here. I like how Scrooge appears to be caring brother and calm child. Matilda looks so trustful and carefree. And Hortense... well, she is just Hortense. Good choices on colors and clothing. I never wondered what kind of boots and trousers should they wear as humans.

I was wondering who are they when I saw this picture for first time
then I recognized their clothes
That is humanized version Scrooge & his sisters :3
Scrooge (especially his young self) has been my favorite Disney character <3
His stingy & hot headed character is really funny
I also like his sisters & his dad ^^
I don't think humanizing the non human characters is cheating
It's just like people drawing human characters as animals
It's actually an interesting idea because we got to see them in other species form
Anyway...
