She will eat anything she can get her little toothy beak around. Bugs, fish, dead things, berries, fruit, veggies, cheese, bacon, eggs.
As for there being more, she's what's known in her little world as a Harbinger. They're tiny gryphons composed of various critters (mostly songbirds/rodents/cats/dogs/tiny deer/insects/whatever) that appear before a Big Thing happens. You can't tell if it's a good thing or a bad one, because even when a Harbinger is asked it won't ever know what's going to happen. Just that it is. Sometimes they like to stick around if they make friends.

So are griffins made by an intelligent agency in this world, or are they generated by the forces that make Big Things? Either way would be interesting.

Harbingers are sapient and intelligent, but it doesn't always show in a conventional manner. Some are babblers, others very childlike, a few are snarkish. Nobody really knows where they come from or how they're made as, unlike other critters, harbingers can't really die permanently. You can "kill" them but it's only a body, they'll "respawn" again and be very confused as to why you did that.
I think they're separate from most of the other biological things in their world, being kind of supernatural in their own way.

It sounds as if griffons are animated by immaterial and immortal souls (or demons, I suppose).
I like the idea that they are "made" out of other animals. Either their souls copy features they see in the other animals, or thyey literally pull animals apart and recombine them.

Only Harbingers are "immortal" spirity beasts, the bigger ones are all your average fantasy critter.
I'm not sure what decides their appearence, only that they usually form based on their personalities or what they like to do.

Interesting. It reminds me of the fantasy world Kage Baker created in Anvil of Heaven (which I highly recommend), in which demons create bodies for themselves out of plants, humans, and animals. Human magicians can also trap demons by various means and force them to live in constructed bodies. Good fun.

Wow really interesting design!
I love black and white birds.. there's something so stark and pure about the color scheme, and it stands out so well in nature, and yet totally blends in somehow.

It's always interesting to see WIPS! I notice a lot of artists work on one part of the subject until it's almost done then move on, and then add finishing touches. I should try it. (Like working from the head down)
