Here's usually my take on it! I like the idea of "my own gender and another gender" or "my own gender and other genders" to give it the 1 and 2 aspect to bi, but also my take tends to see it like Pansexuality is the lack of regard for one's gender and bisexuality includes your regard for the person's gender based on if it's your own gender or another. For me I sometimes realize I am attracted to someone regardless of gender, but some people I am attracted to due to their gender ??? so this way no matter what, it's not a transphobic idea

Bi can be described many ways! It usually depends on the person who identifies with it. Since everyone experiences attraction in different ways and different levels. Bisexuality is the most complex of the orientations as it's so flexible. I would like to add that "my own gender and another" Can also be described as Ambisexuality (which was added to a dictionary..over bisexuality for some reason???) But it isn't commonly used and can literally just describe bisexual as well.
Like some people will describe it as "I'm attracted to people of the same gender, and that another gender"
Others "I'm attracted to both boys and girls"
or "I'm attracted to girls mostly, and rarely people of other genders"
or maybe "I'm attracted men and nonbinary people"
or "I'm attracted to men and women equally"

I like the diversity of it, a lot like Polysexuality (attraction to multiple/most but not all genders) Some people don't like to consider nonbinary genders in one group, so feel it's wrong to use bisexual to describe for example "Attraction to women and nonbinary people" since nonbinary is many genders. But ofc using bisexual doesn't make you transphobic either, just a preference for some people

--
Bisexuality should never be seen as transphobic, only people are transphobic. The idea of bisexual being transphobic is only when the person identifying as it is transphobic, Like "I'm ONLY attracted to cisgender men/women, I cant see myself attracted to a trans person" When it shouldn't matter because..if you're bi (for both binary sexes at least) then them being trans doesn't matter.
It's like sapiosexual being seen as ableist, when it's only if the people identifying as the term are also ableist. Like "I'm only attracted to smart people, not disabled people" That's ableist since like...many disabled people are "smarter" than ablebodied/neurotypical people (Saw your response to my sapio stamp <3)

LOVE your take on it, thank you for expanding on that! I like how open ended it can be but still within its range of “two”. And totally agree, this is inherently transphobic only the people who use the things can be. Also yes for the people who feel some attraction or rarely do to certain genders that’s a good inclusive space for them. I guess that’s what happens when there are many words which I do like a lot, there can be overlapping definitions that focus on certain traits of the attraction experienced

Yeah~ I used to identify as Bisexual, but after coming out as trans I started to realize that didn't fit me /personally/. Plus I still only knew the definition of "Attracted to 2 genders" It felt weird changing orientation labels since I had been identifying as Bisexual since I was like 11-- but It worked out-- I think--
I still love the bi flag though, and im happy that such  a variety of people use it

I feel like overlapping definitions just give people more room to figure out which one fits, even if it can be confusing.
Polygender and genderfluid both include having multiple genders, but they can show themselves in different ways~

A lot of ppl think micro labels hurt the communities they're made for and i"m just like... even basic trans and lgbt+ stuff is not worth supporting to a lot of cis white straight ppl and that's never going to change, us having microlables to describe ourselves is not hurting anyone! bisexual was my first real identity and it's mostly stayed around there for me. No reason to be against letting ppl be themselves if they are not hurting anyone? it's just words after all, not even hurtful ones.

Actually, Bisexuality is attraction to two sexes/genders. The other you're mentioning is Pansexaulity.

It's the "new" definition to include Non binary identities
I don't get it either, but some people use it that way, so I used both definitions

That's not very valid. It's very confusing and frustrating to compare Bi and Pan together. That's like saying gays like lesbians.

Well, people got upset with me for not including it, and pansexual is attraction to all genders, and Polysexual is attraction to  multiple, but not all genders.

Maybe make paxsexual and polysexual stamps for the right definitions. If they get upset, then they obviously don't know what bi/pan/polysexuality really is.
