Yeah! Sorry for the late reply, I was locked out of my account for a few months.

Nonbinary is an umbrella for any gender that isn't exclusively male or female. This can be being partially male or female in identity or completely outside of this.
Which I understand is hard to understand, especially when it's newly introduced to you, but as many people feel gender as a "feeling" much like trans men and women feel like men or women, nonbinary people feel like they either aren't entirely men or women, a mix of the two, or neither. It can be hard to tell if you dont feel male or female but sometimes outside factors help determine this. Like which pronouns feel comfortable or how you want to present yourself (not necessary as anyone can present how they want but it can help) maybe they feel uncomfortable being seen as either binary gender.

A lot of people have a hard time grasping the idea of nonbinary, because well, it's hard to understand something you've never felt.

I know this isnt the best explanation but it is kinda hard to explain feelings in a tangible way.

Since many see gender as a result of multiple social constructs, when people aren't cis it can be a way of navigating those constructs, so a nonbinary person may feel they dont belong or belong in both social constructs of gender. Having an identity that isnt congruent to the gender we were assigned at birth is complicated. Lol
