This is a vision I had in a dream that I spent a good 13 hours perfecting.
One day I was watching lots of superhero movies on netflix to get my superhero fix, and by "superhero movies" I mean one comic book type movie, two spy movies, and the Road to El Dorado, and I started to think about the parents who where supportive. Then I thought about my mom who would have been the best mom to have if you had superpowers cause she's awesome. Then I started to think about a girl who had superpowers and supportive parents but understood the dangers of letting others know about it, however didn't want to see her friends hurt and so would have to make a rough decision. I went to sleep with this thought and had a sort of dream, it was more of a blur and an idea than a dream though.
In it, there's the girl. When she was little she told kids about her powers and was treated differently. He mother asked if she wanted to move and so they did. She'd lived in her new town since and never told her new friends of her abilities. She a telekinetic, btw. One day she meets a boy with powers much like her (control of the wind/particles in the air) but he had lived a much different life then her and so was very cynical about it. He left her after saying somethings she found to hold no water and she didn't see him again (NOT). He believed in doing whatever he wanted, not letting himself be chased by people who'd hurt him. He believed that as long as no blood was shed, screwing with people was more fun then hiding in the dark. And he does not believe in superheroes.
They kept as unlikely friends mostly because the girl was excited to have someone similar to her around. However, one day one of her best friends whom she's known since she arrived in that town turns out to be apart of this secret organization bent on "fixing" special people like her. He attack her friend (the wind boy) and in order to save him she steps in the way and uses her powers to save them both. She begs her friends to realized that she too is a "freak" but that there is nothing wrong with her, that she isn't evil like they think all special people are. Her friends betray her by asking her to come with them and leave her new friend so that they could go to a doctor and get her "help" to "fix" her. She realizes just how rotten it all is. Her parents silently tell her with their eyes she need to run and decides to leave with the boy like her. After deciding this she points at her friends and says "I didn't have to be this! I didn't want to be this, so I want you to know: YOU are the ones who made me this way! You have only yourselves to blame for what happens now!" After that she focuses her energy and says "You think us freaks are evil? Scary? Well, I'll show just how scary I can be!" And she levitates everything not attacked to the ground (cars, people, bags, the weapons the group has) within 20 feet of her into the air by 10 feet and then drops them. She leaves with the boy.
After that she goes with the boy to his hidey-hole in the mountains and spends the next three months in constant state of depression. After that the boy drags her out of the house and teaches her how to survive now that she's thrown away whatever life she could have had as well as her own identity and name. She learns that the only way they can survive as minors who have been outcast from society as "broken" is to develop bad "habits" to stay alive. Despite her reserves since she's a good person she learns from the boy how to pick-pocket, shoplift, and ignore her own conscience.
Fast forward one year and she's completely changed. She no longer hold any reserves about taking whatever they want, and messing with people using their powers. They've limits though, they take what they want within reasonable means, and they never hurt anyone with their pranks (at least not really hurt). Ever since her announcement to her old friends had been filmed, other special people had been messing with normal people, or coming out as powerful, and the internet has even followed any sightings of the boy and the girl as they can. Because the boy and the girl are not bad people, they stop other special people when they are trying to mane or kill others, and so their faces often pop up on cameras or cellphones and whatnot and they've made quite a name for themselves on the internet...except, the internet doesn't actually know who they are so the call them Calpico. Calpico is a popular drink in japan (where the story takes place because I'm obsessed) and the girl with steal Calpico whenever she wants because she likes it the best, therefore she is often drinking from it or carrying it when people catch her on camera.

This picture is from a battle with another special person, a young, super genius boy who has the power to control people on contact. He hates the world that's put him through is pain and so her is using the military to attack Tokyo where Calpico currently is. Calpico stop him with much difficulty and are able to keep him from claiming lives, as well as making him (he's, like, 12) release everyone from his control. Except, there is a nuke heading straight for them and now he doesn't have control over the people who set it so he can't tell them to stop it. Calpico tries to stop it by holding it in mid air using their abilities (by now the Girl's abilities are so strong she can even freeze water temporarily by forcing the molecules in the water to stop moving for a brief moment). The girl stays to hold it in place, aware that after it runs out of gas it will automatically explode, and even if they blow it up so high in the sky as they are the radiation with affect the people beneath them, and the boy flies off to get another special from a prison (someone they'd helped put aware previously) who can absorb anything, including nuclear radiation, and neutralize it. When he returns the girl is almost completely worn down and the fuel is almost out.
She encases the nuke to stop the explosion and then encases that again (with energy, she's manipulating her energy) with the boy who can absorb the radiation on the inside so that he can absorb it before she lets them out. The nuke explodes but breaks through her first and second seals (not hurting the absorption boy because he adsorbed the impact of the explosion) and knocks her back. She almost passes out but catches herself before hitting the ground. She then uses ALL THE POWER to force the particles from the explosion into a confined area and then rip the concrete and bricks from the world below her to encase it and the boy.
That is the scene above.
Afterwards the boy absorbs the radiation and the sphere crumbles to the ground as the girl begins to feel wobbly. By now she's bleeding from every place she can on her face from a serious overload of blood in her brain.
They saved the day, took the really powerful mind control boy away with them, had their entire feet recorded by a reporter who had been hiding in the area, and the girl made up with her childhood friend.

I think the point of my story was that Calpico were not good people, they stole from and messed with people without any regard for others, but they were not bad people either. They didn't want to see anyone really hurt or killed, even if they didn't really care about the people to begin with. And they believed that in the end there was no such thing as superheroes and super-villains, and that those who seemed like they were were truly just outcasts with their own set of morals. They believe that the world would not, and could not except such being as superheroes even if the heroes could truly help, and would instead create the closest things to super-villains they could get; sad, tormented people who were not born that way, but made that way by the society they so tried to destroy.
