I don't care what anyone says, or what new characters come into Meitantei Conan (God knows more and more are being introduced), Sherry is the hottest girl in the story. Forget Vermouth or Jodie or Ran (uh..ran=/=hot).Come on, one of the only times you ever see her as an adult, she's in a one piece jumpsuit with her chests barely contained. Don't think Gosho Aoyama did that by accident.
Here's my dirty secret: I would so rather Conan/Shinichi get with Haibara Ai/Sherry than with Ran. I think they secretly have the hots for eachother but it'll never be because Aoyama doesnt want to get run over by Ran fans.
(for shame, i know.)
(ps I signed with a chinese alias this time because I will forever associate Meitantei Conan with all the chinese manga I've bought over the years)

Its based in 1897 and an unnamned journalist is asked to an interview by a prof.,who he and along with others saw a series of green flares shoot out from the surface of Mars. That night,around midnight as the character is writing tommorows artical a large "Meteor" crashes into Horsell Common near Woking. Yes,its based in England.
Still,when he and a large group of others come to the site they find a large cylinder,thirty meters across and glowing red hot. The prof. from earlier fears there is a man inside,since the part of the cylinder that isnt burried is begining to unscrew itself. He tried to get toward the thing but he stopped before he could burn himself on the metal.
After an hour or so,the lid falls off. On a chair,being held up by a large metalic leg that moves it outside,a huge red-brown bulk larger then a bear appears. It has two large disks for eyes,a beak for a mouth and tentacles waling all over. Everyone paniced,and so did the alien,since it looked like it was being crushed by earths gravity. It retreated back inside the pod.

The crowd retreated ats the prof. from earlier and two other people approached the cylinder with a white flag. As they started to wave it over and over,the narrator hid behind a tree and saw a large funnel of sorts come out of the pod,and in a dull buzzing sound began to whipser through out the common. Then,he saw a flash of reddish-orange like fly from the funnel. It flew from man to man,and each one was instantly turned to fire. It then proceded to enflame anyone else that remained on the common.
Later that night he sent his wife to go live with her brother over in Mainland Europe for safty. He tried to sleep but couldn't,and from his window he heard the martains working on something that night that stirred everyone that lived near the common. The funnel stayed out,it had a flash light as to see who was not suppost to be there,and would kill them if they did.

During the night also,the Martians had begun to build something within their ship which kept everyone in Woking unerved and uneasy. [The pod had landing in Horsell Common,Woking in England in 1988.]
Suddenly,four of the fighting machines rose up. Monsterous Tripds [which you can find on here if you put in "Jeff wayne's the war fo the worlds."] who then proceeded to attack the british artillary in the area.

Well, appearently the author was pressured into an ending that satisfied the Kagome fans. (You know where they live happily ever after.) But appearently the orginal plan was for Kagome to return to the 21st century and become a powerful priestess of her time, and InuYasha was going to use the Shikon Jewel to create a world where half demons could live in peace.
