I really love this one! ItΒ΄s really touching!
The grain effect (maybe grain?) transforms it into an old painting! It looks like it was painted on wood or something! The little sparkling stars are also great!
(DonΒ΄t get me wrong! This is really fantastic!) ItΒ΄s a little pitty that her hair is swallowed by the darkness in the left!
But you did great! I couldnΒ΄t do such a beautiful piece!

I have just emailed lucias, and asked her if I can use her image as a print, I have used very similar idea to what you have and was inspired by your artwork, and I went off your idea, just to see what I could achieve I can not critique your work because its lovely. My downfall is that lazy I rushed it, I should have place the wings on first, scaled them and added another layer with Lucias on it, you can clearly see that your wings are behind her back, but hey I will know next time (: nice title to the image, I think I will call mine (why am I here) or maybe you guys can come up with a name when you see it (:
Anyway I just have to wait for confirmation off Lucias and it will on deviant art (:

I donβt mean itβs the same as yours (: I have turned her into a fairy, I had already done the image before I stumbled across yours which I think is beautiful. I have asked the owner of the photostock can I print it out for a present for someone but she has not got back to me as yet,

I agree that the butterfly is too transparent. Her hair also could use some color to fill out the sharp contrast of light that seems to be coming out of no where on the right side (her left) of her body. Her wings are impressive, but like the butterfly blends in too much with the background. over all the female (to me) does not fit in with the background, she is too bright and too contrasted, maybe this is because there is little to no light in the background and no obvious source of light hitting her, maybe create some rays somewhere? Very nice conception.
