Would I be a traitor if I drew lots of wolves while I have a sheep as a mascot?

I made this to not only practice painting fur, but to also practice making wolf art for an upcoming sale happening in October.

Although I am very satisfied with how my secondary lighting came out thanks to the Hue/Saturation layers and the color balance layer, I am not too happy with how the fur came out that much. It's decent at best because it looks furry and fluffy, but I fear that it came out too soft and not very detailed enough. I struggle when it comes to details on furry mammals like tiger stripes and in this case, the different colors on wolves. What are some techniques that will work with SAI to overcome this? Is the fur brush not a good tool for this sort of thing after all?
