I always find that comments are far better than just "_____________ has added ___________ to their collection __________" I mean really, what is anyone supposed to do with that information? Big deal. All they did was drag it to a folder. That's not showing your appreciation for something. It's almost like being a closet case; I kinda like it, but I'm ashamed I like it so I won't say anything. That's how I see it if someone just adds it to their faves and say nothing. That's why when I like something I actually SAY SO. I'm not going to be ashamed of something I enjoy and shy away from it. Why should I?
So I commented as well to say that your picture is good because that's my opinion.

well i'm always happy to see someone added a picture from me to their favs ^^
but when i get a comment i think it shows that they really liked it so much, they took the time to write something nice. i'm never lying when i say i appreciate it.
although i rarely write comments because english is not my native language and i can not even imagine how terrible my grammar must sound to them
