History: (copied and pasted from Kesake) They're not blood-related, but, long story short, Rance found Aveira when he was pretty young himself. She was much younger, defenseless, and just recently abandoned by her whore of a mother. Rance took her in, but not necessarily for her own good. You see, Rance is a master thief. He's dedicated his whole life to the art of taking things that don't belong to him. Aveira turned out to be quite the partner in crime... up until she got a mind of her own. That's when things went sour and the relationship went from father/daughter to Aveira being brutally beaten and raped by Rance on a regular basis. Turns out, as Aveira aged - he grew increasingly attracted to her and wanted her all to himself. Aveira stuck around for as long as she could stand, for life with Rance was the only life she'd ever known. It wasn't until she got knocked up (by none other than her abusive lover, Rance) that she was granted an opportunity to leave... only, in the worst way. Upon announcing her pregnancy to Rance (who was absolutely not ready to be a real father) a terrible fight erupted that resulted in the spontaneous abortion of their unborn puppies and the scars you can plainly see on both of their faces. Rance left Aveira for dead - but she survived. She spends her days avoiding him at all costs now, but - if Rance was to catch wind of her existence - he'd do everything he could in order to track her down and reclaim her.
