Absolutely gorgeous! I love your color choice and all the little details.
As for a crazy name... maybe Poppoisson? (Poppy + Poisson (fish)) ...since the flower details on this gal remind me of an opium poppy hehe

Nice! Tris is a name I've never heard of. Do you know someone with that name?

I've had plant based characters named after their scientific names so I also upvote that idea. XD gah that is such a pretty concept though... flower mers. I might have to check these guys out (as if I don't have enough to do atm x.x)
The end of that tail though x.x it reminds me of Mimosa tree flowers, aka the prettiest invasive tree ever.

Duuude I looked up the mimosa tree flowers and they look exactly identical to this flower. That's so bizarre, I wonder how that happened. I don't know enough (or anything) about the science of flowers to understand it haha

They both probubly primarily cater to butterflies and other similar insects. I know I've always seen a butt ton of them around any Mimosa I've seen. We called them butterfly trees as a kid. Occationally humming birds are in the area to but idk if they also feed from them.
X.x sorry scientific speculation, I'm a nerd. i know.

I should ask my brother lol he loves butterflies and knows a lot about them. I wonder if butterflies can smell? Cause they smell very strongly to! Nice smelling but like I can be in my yard and smell my neighbors tree.

Lol I wouldn't know! XD I've never had a mimosa! Those are alcoholic right? -is lame/knows nothing-
And my brother says they do probubly think they are pretty and smell good cause thats the whole point to attract the butterflies in the first place.

I agree that is a cool character. The name can be Barringtonia, the specie of the plant is inspired by.

Lol i just see the snarky looking smart kid in your icon telling me to name her after the scientific name of the plant. It's perfect.
I actually kinda like the sound of that though
