How didn't you finish it? Don't get what you mean by bold either, but it could totally be a deviant. All misty and such.
Interesting with the monotone hair--though I see the strands. Iris! And bird/swirls in the background. And her dress/shirt/kimono is way cool! Love the checkers. She's really pretty.

Too bold? They look fine to me. In fact, if they weren't bold, you wouldn't be able to tell those lines from the others.
