I think that I missed the mark on this one... focused too much on the fashion
This outfit was supposed to portray the idea of inspiration being derived from fandom for purposes of fashion?
She's supposed to be imitating Sasuke's clothing.
Kishimoto was actually rather on the ball with his designs; cobalt blue AND peep toe sandals are both very much fashionable designs.
So yeah. I guess I was reading too deep into this whole 'FASHION' themes challenge thing. I guess it is more a costume theme challenge. I'll be redo-ing this some time later to portray a fangirl uh.. steroetypically.

I think its kinda neat actually. I would be pretty cool if you could do a random thing where you turn all the naruto characters(main characters at least)into something fashionable, like make the guys clothes into fahionable girl wear and the girls vis versa, you should do a narto one next

Wow! No way! dressing like Sasuke! Hah. Like a bad cosplaying, without the hair and such? Young Sasuke, I guess. It reminds me of him, with the clothes. You got it right, but she definitely is your thought of fangirl enough. To make her more nerdy or whatever....I'd like, get a tattoo or something. Or write across my face or somewhere "I love Sasuke" or be holding all of this Sasuke merchandise. Dunno. But yeah, kind of off-ish. Looks really cool though. I'd actually make the leggings white though, because his shorts were white, but that might look a bit odd...you probably tried that, didn't you?

LOL I'll do the "I love Sasuke" type thing on my next "fangirl". But I'm thinking of changing the fandom to something that I'd like more, so it's less of a torture to do
Haha yeah, I did try the white leggings, but it looked really bad... like she was wearing long john's instead of leggings. Also black leggings are more slimming than the white ones are and I think that's the whole point of leggings; to emphasize the slender legs in contrast to the bag shirt
Hmmm.. do you think drawing a girl cosplaying would convey the message of "fangirl" more clearly?

She really doesn't look like a fangirl at first glance, but if you do a double-take, you can definately see the resemblance. And I fret about what a stereotypical fangirl looks like. ._.
