Description Darkahn Kiralv is many things -- a powerful necromancer, a Silvanesti elf, an Undead, Ordermaster of the Black Robes and Towermaster of the great and magical tower of Wayreth. He's made deals with gods, and been tricked by them too. He is bitter, clever, quite insane, and almost always out for himself. Because his memories have been wiped before, by tricksey evil gods, he entered a deal with Nuitari, the god of black magic. Nuitari gave him an indestructible journal, that holds all his memories, should he ever forget again. He keeps it with him, making notes in blood as he travels and interacts with people.

Enter Silvaria, a young wild elf thief that completely confounds him. Since he first appeared and began toying with her, she's done nothing but surprise him with her fiery and indomitable spirit. She had been a slave, and while he hasn't bothered to find out more of her story, he can see that she wasn't suited to that life. That endears her to him in a way, that he can relate with her on that.
She has a rather dangerous sense of curiosity, though, and as he interacted with her more and more, she lost much of her fear of him. The fear was replaced by insatiable curiosity. She found herself thinking of him or wondering about him when they weren't together. The transition from being afraid of his power and unpredictability to being fascinated by him was a rough one, though.

This particular series of emotions is brought about by Silvaria's curiosity. Darkahn has had a rough day, including visits from old friends and enemies, a random sea elf declaring himself a bodyguard for Darkahn, and an apprentice screaming bloody murder from the guest chambers of his tower. He comes back to his personal quarters to find Silvaria has read his journal. He thinks, out of paranoia and self-perseverance, that she has been a pawn in someone else's scheme to strike him down.

This scene has been replaying in my head throughout the day.
