{ MAGIC }
Type: Mage
Discipline: Pyro
Preferred uses:
Ahjravi’s magic is by no means a domestic or docile sort. It is unstable, volatile, and fleeting, as quick and hard as a punch in the face. Ahjravi’s fire magic is synonymous with her movement and intention, for it will bolster or protect her on a very primal, physical level. Pale, white-colored flames erupt from her attacks and her sprinting or leaping as if to force her forward with its own power, other times, the flames and white smoke wrap around her like protective armor whenever she is about to endure harm. Bursts of fire erupt from her person upon falls or impacts, as if to rebound from the force of the fall. At this nascent stage, however, these flames are all only in melee range, and its timing proves to be poor and inconsistent, like pulling the brakes on a bike too quickly or too late. It will take time and much more training for Ahjravi to turn her smoke into armor, or her flames into strong bursts of force. Ahjravi does not know how to put the fires out should any trail behind her, and she still has trouble summoning the magic exactly when she wants it- and to not summon it when she doesn’t. It bursts and sputters to life in the middle of an occasional jump off a ledge, or pushes her body farther mid-strike than she intended, and these combined factors make for a very accident-prone Pyro Mage.
{ PERSONAL }
Personality:
Ahjravi appears to be a stone-faced brute at a glance: silent, inelegant, and to-the-point in matters with an intimidating default expression that leads many to believe she’ll break your wrist just for waving at her. Her patience shortens out quickly and precariously with few patterns to the madness, and she moves unflinchingly into danger or the unknown, reinforcing that initial impression she often gives off. Upon further inspection, however, others will find there to be a genuine and intense curiosity and sense of adventure as Ahjravi barrels herself into mystery and uncertainty. She has a mind as sharp as her hits are hard, and is able to think on her feet and analyze situations well for strategy or caution. She craves novelty and excitement, thus her interests may fluctuate or migrate on a whim, like smoke pushed around by a new wind. Ahjravi’s unadorned words prove to be down-to-earth and relatable once you get talking with her, and that deadpan face of hers breaks into haughty grins and low laughter at a fun joke. A good drink with good company goes a long way for her as well. She might be rough around the edges in a lot of ways, but there is plenty of ease and warmth that comes with this billowing flame of a woman.

Biography:
Ahjravi never had much to say about her early childhood- it was all a blur of long, wooden staircases, fine cutlery, and large staff hustling about a lovely manor that had long since ceased to be considered home to the young woman. She was taught chores, reading and writing by servants, for she was expected to eventually become a warden of the household and manage its affairs. Eventually had never come, however, since Ahjravi proved to be an aggressive and independent child who only behaved for the sake of the other servants that she had grown close to. There were times, of course, when she could be bribed to behave with promise of seeing the family’s prized and eccentric collections, but such strategies could work for so long. The years got more difficult as not only Ahjravi grew more out of hand, but her magic had, too, once it revealed itself to her. A relative of the household’s head convinced them to hand Ahjravi over to them, thinking they could take on her troubles and make use of her (and her abilities), only to find even more struggles.
She argued and fought with the new Master, and was eventually passed off to another, and then another. She started sneaking into brawl fights for money and for escape from the drudgery of servant work, and got into an argument with her employer when she was finally caught. The issue got heated, then physical, and then Ahjravi left, her employer not wanting to see her again. The feeling was mutual.
Ahjravi got back in touch with the original household she had come from, and landed a job in not butlering or cooking or laundry, but in an escort job for a delivery of cargo to another estate. This one was surprisingly a success, for Ahjravi was receptive to the fighting experience she’d begun to gain from the brawling matches. She did not rejoin the household she was raised in, but instead moved on to take on employment in areas involving violence. She would often touch back with that household, if only to have some small sense of grounding or consistency in her life, between each road and after every temporary face. The work suited her well regardless, and fed the need for independence and excitement that she craved. A couple years into her work, Ahjravi found a few jobs that lined up with scholars. Some would talk with her about their own studies, and soon realized that Ahjravi had a knack for intellectual pursuits. She would converse more with these well-learned clients, and pick up whatever knowledge they were all too happy to share with her, for not too many outside of one’s own field were interested in hearing such ravings. Her further employment began to come recommended by such clients, yet other times, the jobs weren’t of such wholesome or savory tones.
In more recent years, Ahjravi had taken on an internship of sorts with one such scholar, who was researching magic with a small team around the region. A couple of these scholars were Witches as well, who took up an interest in drawing Ahjravi further into their world by teaching her things about their field, and about magic in general- although they insisted that hers was a much more primal variety, Magecraft, and that she would have to learn that through personal experience rather than reading. Ahjravi, for her part, was curious regarding it all, and enjoyed the internship. She practiced and studied weaponry and combat during this time as well, but to this day, her fists or a polearm have proved as better solutions to a hostile encounter than any sword or bow. She would be more troubled by it if not for the intrigue of magic and mystery in her life.
This nagging intrigue in Ahjravi’s life culminated in chasing rumors of a traveling castle, a mobile haven for those entwined in magic. The witch-scholars told praise of such rumors, and as she wrapped up her internship, Ahjravi began to chase after it in earnest. As fate would have it, however, the castle seemed to have an eye for her as well. Upon an early morning when the sun filtered a most golden hue across the land, Ahjravi saw a peculiar invitation on the nightstand beside her bed.
Just as she had done all her life, Ahjravi looked upon the path before her, and while she didn’t know her destination, she knew she wanted to get going somewhere, anywhere...And she knew the Traveler’s Castle would take her there.

Character Trivia:
She likes colorful or unique looking drinks. If it looks cool, she wants to drink it, she doesn't care about the flavor.
She keeps a few reference-type books (dictionaries, maps, thesaurus, etc) in her room.
Ahjravi is proficient in fist fighting and decent with a polearm (thanks to polearms being easy to learn but tough to master), but she knows little swordplay, and her ranged abilities are only useful with a crossbow.
Town of origin, Ahjravi’s birth name, names of past employers, and other similar information is usually kept under wraps or at least censored by Ahjravi, for her own as well as her past clients’ safety.
She doesn’t know anything about her family, but is somewhat fond of the household she was raised in up until her preteen years, and considers them relatives in a way.
- The ends of Ahjravi's hair seem to flicker, and drift like smoke and ash from a fire- just occasionally, and subtly so as to only be noticed if you are staring at her hair for a long period of time watching her idle animation. A quiet indication of her Mage abilities.
