Description
I just felt like drawing one of my favorite characters in a way that we don't get to see her too often. Toph may define bada$$, but she's still one very graceful lady when she chooses to be. I've been wanting to draw her a little bit older and dressed up for a while, so here ya are. She's about 17-18ish in the picture and the scene I have in mind goes sort of like this:At a Party....
Aang: Woah! Toph!?
Toph: No, a Moose-Lion, yes it's me Twinkletoes
Aang: You look...
Sokka: Wier-oof!
Katara: Absolutely wonderful, Toph
Toph: Really, Katara?
Katara: Most definitely. Now Sokka and I need to have a little chat about manners...*drags Sokka off via pinched ear*
Aang: *mumble* Actually, Toph...
Toph: Yeah?
Aang: You look really beautiful *blushes and wanders off to get drinks*
Toph, for the first time, was grateful for the hideous goop they called make up was on her face. Her cheeks blended right in. And if anyone asked, she'd blame it on the summer heat.
Um, yeah, that's sort of what was on my mind when I was drawing this. I like how the shading for her skin came out (first time for me). Alas, I could not find a reference for Earth Kingdom Nobility Garb, so I made due with some Korean/Chinese influences...and yesh, I know I gimped out on a background... *shot* XP
