May as well give a try to the Okami contest (1 of 2, I hope to finish the second one in time...). I came up with a pair of made-up characters and displayed them in a sort of a "game pitch" way

ABOUT THE CHARACTERS:

Initially, the characters' essence was inspired by the close-range weapons known as the "wheels of fire and wind" [link]

Yakaze: "Wind of an arrow's flight" (which may explain why I chose him to be Gekigami's brother). Masters the wind wheel.

Kojishi: "lion cub". His mane was inspired by the Lion dance, (Renjishi if I remember well), mixed with stylized fire waves.Masters the fire wheel.

ABOUT THE MAKING:

..uhm....brush inking was challenging :sweat: (watered down inks and marker coloring).

EDIT: Actually, I have never played the game, I just caught a glimpse of it through the sources provided plus a peek at okamiart.com to make these characters up.
