Description
So in a deep discussion with a friend on Discord after being shown a picture of a lioness with a cloudy, swollen eye, my mind was on Zuri, and I ended up mixing the ideas together and came up with the idea of Zuri receiving an eye injury.

In the first picture, Zuri and Tiifu charge for battle against the Outsiders to save Kiara and prove their worth to the pride. A bit of a turnaround moment for them as they're often shown/looked at as immature, ditzy valley girls. As soon as Zuri jumps in, she is immediately swiped in the face by an Outsider, a filthy claw raking her eye.

In the second picture (a rather graphic one at that), Zuri's injury is shown to be a pretty acute form of keratitis (infection of the cornea). Zuri's lens becomes clouded and many blood vessels are broken and are in the pattern of the direction that the Outsider scratched her.

The third picture is a scene where Tiifu (who'd been developing an interest in healing ever since Zuri and other received lionesses' injuries from the battle) had placed a leaf over Zuri's eye to not only hide the unsightly wound, but to let it heal. Zuri is concerned for her vanity and asks everyone what they think. Vitani's doing a splendid job at empathy huh (and no, despite how she's looking at her claws, Vitani is not the culprit, she was only focused on battling Nala at the time, feel free to interpret who may have scratched Zuri ^^).

Zuri's eye injury is meant to be a bit of a turnaround moment for her. She dreads getting messy or injured due to her vain and somewhat neurotic nature. She tries to be as neat and presentable as possible if she wants to be Kiara's royal advisor. Going out to battle and receiving a prolonged, infectious wound has tested her vanity, patience, and fear of ailments.

Fortunately Zuri's eye injury heals. Luckily eyes heal very quickly, despite how Zuri's injury came very close to permanently blinding her. It healed soon before Kion returned to the Pridelands. She hadn't shown up to greet Kion upon coming home because she wanted to make absolute sure her eye healed before she could be seen by anyone (idk just shoehorned that in because Tiifu and Zuri aren't shown for most of the Return to the Pridelands episode until the end)
