Lol not really, I did the whole background on one layer, but I did the sunβs light effects on two more, so technically I used 3.

Well, first you can always look at real-life photos for reference (don't trace tho). Another good way is to follow tutorials (there's a lot here on DA, especially for backgrounds ^^). Finally, this will probably sound clichΓ© but just practice! You'll always improve c:
