It's snowing in Seattle... as no doubt you've all heard...Me and the crew are snowed in, but hey, it's been grand for photos!

They're pretty darn good when it comes to photos, they're used to me shooting all the time. Simon (the dog on the far right) is my photo-trained boy, and I put him in all sorts of situations and trust him to know what I want him to do. He's a poser when he sees a camera, (anyone's camera) so, yep, he's pretty well trained. The others aren't bad though. 
Yep, I am using a focus, which is a bit of string cheese that I showed them and put on the brim of my hat.

That's a great idea! I've seen a cheese ball on a stick used or peanut butter on a spoon, but it's hard to wrangle all that and hold the camera steady.
My dog is a little diva too and used to getting treats when she sees the camera come out. I had to stop taking her to shoots with other dogs because she wouldn't stay out of frame. If the camera is out she wants to be front and center.
Multiple dogs at once have been really hard for me. The biggest group I've done at one time is 5 and I was really lucky because after all day being groomed they just wanted to lay on the doggie bed I set up as a stage and relax.

Aw, they're sitting lined up on a table outside in the yard! But they're pretty good about staying where I plop them when there's a camera involved.

That should work! They're two entirely different breeds, in all ways. There was a great write up in Canine Photography about the differences too.

After reading that only three are Cardigan I looked back up and was happy I could tell which was the Pembroke considering I've met and interacted with a whopping 1 corgi ever

Yep, he's a random stubby all right. He also has the most sense; he's been inside for the last three days really, toasting his bum in front of the heaters. The rest of them go tearing out, he is like "... are you all insane?"
I laugh. He's such a curmudgeon.

Oh yeah. You can definitely tell the difference. But if you didn't know better you probably wouldn't. My boy friend still can't tell the difference. Or maybe he just likes Cardis more
